Ok... So lunch special is really a great price. <$15 for a complete combo. But, I didnt expect the portion to be that huge too.... It comes with 3 large pieces of naan. All of their menu that we ordered were extremely tasty and large-portioned. Three of us ordered 3 main items Paneer Muttar, Bombay butter chicken lunch special and bombay wrap lunch special. We couldn't even touch the wrap and we were still too full. I really wanted to try their desserts too, I'm kinda sad by this.. Great service. I would definitely come back to this. Would've loved to try buddha bowl too, but they were out of Avocado at that time.
Legit flavours and generous portions! The mango lasso was right-on. The staff forgot to serve the chai tea we ordered, but we were a large group of 15+ people, so it's understandable.
We have been here 3 times and have done takeout 2 times. The food is amazing and very well priced. They have dishes that no one else does. The mixed grill is the best deal in town. The staff are attentive and very pleasant. Highly recommended.
Visited for the first time and the food was incredibly tasty. Service is friendly and we felt like one of the family. We had the veggie pekora, coconut curry chicken and basmati rice with naan. Chai masala rounded out a perfect meal. There is a wheelchair ramp to the front entrance and plenty of street parking.
Best restaurant in West Point Grey, best Indian food in Vancouver! Every dish is tremendously flavorful and the presentation is beautiful. Weha, one of the servers, is always very friendly, attentive and offers great advice on ordering. We have been to this restaurant several times, it should seriously be on your list!
So, this is now my official new favorite spot to go for a quick, delicious, well priced bite. The food is INCREDIBLE, the ambience is warm and lovely, and the folks that work there are nothing but kind. Truly a place that feels like a home. Can't recommend enough!
See below for reply. I ordered takeout for pick up on Fantuan. The restaurant accepted my mobile order and I was informed that the order was ready to be picked up. Then I saw this sign when I arrived at the restaurant!! First of all, why would you even accept orders when the restaurant is closed. Second, if you want to make money and accept orders, why wouldn't you phoning the customers and let them know the situation, so people can make their plans accordingly? Zero communicative skill from their staffs. I'm glad that Fantuan was able to refund my money. Reply: It's obvious that you have no control over third-party delivery services. However, what you could have done was either cancel my order in advance if there was a power outage or simply phone the customers and let them know the situation, especially I placed my order almost two hours prior to the scheduled pick up time. Have some critical thinking skills or improve your communication instead of being defensive as it was clearly your error.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner in early September on the deck. Our favourite dishes such as naan and butter chicken were exactly as we expected and were delicious. The staff were very kind and found a good balance between being attentive and letting us enjoy our dinner. We'll be back for sure!
Large portions at reasonable prices. I got the Chicken Masala, which had a great blend of traditional spices and made for a savory and spicy flavor combo that was hard to forget. Will definitely be returning
Our Bombay Masala hosts during a mid-afternoon meal on Friday 11/26 we're gracious and welcoming. They even shared with us a taste of an off-menu dish they had made for a family meal that they were just finishing as we walked in a delicious kidney bean dish!. The chicken masala we ordered was also delicious, as was the eggplant dish, where the delightfully fresh eggplant flavor and spices made an excellent combination. We stumbled onto Bombay Masala after visiting UBC's Museum of Anthropology, but next time we are in Vancouver we will make a point of returning for another meal.
