This was my first time trying hotpot. Loved this place. The menu has a good variety so there is something for everyone. I was looking for something really spicy so I got their Flaming hotpot. I will say it didn't disappoint on the spice level, but if you're sensitive to spice definitely order one of the less spicy hotpots. I was impressed by the selection of veggies and proteins that can be added, as well as selection of teas. Definitely recommend!
Not at all what I expected from a hot pot place, but my experience wasn't all that bad. I kinda wish I did more research about this place. My party and I all ordered the beef pot in mild spiciness, thinking it was going to be okay. We didn't expect a "mild" level to actually be very spicy. And I love spicy food. My party, not so much. If you have GERD, just stick to no spice. We were able to mitigate the heat with bubble tea and runny egg on rice. But it was still a challenge to power through the spice and heat from the burner. There were 4 condiments at the table, 3 of which contained garlic, while the other 1 is more like a dry seasoning. The Garlic Soy Sauce is my favorite. The soup really needed it. Service was very nice, staff gave us this super cool lemon jelly at the end of our meal. We ended up getting ice cream to calm the spice. It was... an experience.
For my greatest love to hot pot and soup, Boiling Point is a very yum and affordable option. However the wait could be pretty long there due to that same very fact. Especially during the winter seasons, which only lasted 10 months yearly in the Pacific Northwest region. My absolute favorites are the Lamb or the Beef pots. When I could make it, I prefer going in for lunch since we got free drinks with the pots we ordered. The dipping sauces BP produces are very good too! In the past, they would give a little tiny cup of free sweet basil seeds drink after the meal. Since Covid, it has been replaced by the little individual basil seeds jelly package. The appetizers of spicy beef, cumin lamb, or spicy pork are all very good and affordable for the amount of food. Last time we were here, the only non-Asian server was super friendly and kind. Everyone else besides her has shared the same sense of entitlement towards the gratuity we left.
First time here. Food was great. I liked the concept. The bowl was on a burner so the soup was hot the whole time. You can ask for more broth and they just fill out up right there. No charge. The 4 sauces on the table came with the meal and so tasty. For the 2 of us we shared an appetizer and 1 soup bowl. That was enough for us. I will definitely come back!
The Taiwanese soup is lethal. If you think you are a spicy food champion, I dare you to try it. Be careful though! Amazing and helpful staff.
First time here, loved it. Great service even though they were extremely busy. And the curry was great. Only question is why I can’t get the fish balls as a side? They’re good and I could have ate 10 more :
The hot pot at Boiling Point was flavorful and delicious, with a good variety of ingredients. The service was efficient and attentive, making for a great dining experience overall. This was my first time at a hot pot, so definitely would recommend.
Great service and ambiance. I ordered the Beef Hot Soup "flaming spicy" and it was literally boiling and delicious! We will be back for more.Food: 5/5
A solid place to go for reasonably priced hotpot. Not exceptional but okay for the area. They have a nice variety of soups and their sauces are always good. Pictures are of Korean bean paste and house special.
Hot pot is a lot of fun! However it was a bit underwhelming compared to some other locations for the price. Spice is there, that was great, but flavor itslef was a bit lacking. The sauces were needed.Food: 3/5
