My husband and I are visiting and needed to find a gym. Body Edge employees were so nice and helpful in getting us set up for an amazing workout! Easy and quick sign up either for the day or week if visiting. Gym was clean and had tons of exercise equipment. Thanks Body Edge! We'll definitely be back!
Highly recommend this gym. No competition with body builders for access to equipment. The staff is very professional and friendly. The trainers tailor workouts to your specific needs.
We recently relocated to the area and were looking for a new gym as we work out most days. We were very pleasantly surprised at the array of equipment and class/training options available at Body Edge including TRX, ropes, medicine & weighted balls and a Jacobs Ladder for cardio. The spin classes are awesome and the group exercise room for other classes is spacious even with a crowd. We were sold! The staff and members are so friendly and welcoming - we felt at home very quickly. Others have mentioned and it bears repeating, this is not a big city gym facility. This is a sweet community of welcoming people at the beach.
Very friendly, helpful, kind staff. They are wonderful to visitors. I received a very prompt email reply about whether or not they were open on Thanksgiving. I thoroughly enjoyed the Strength class on Friday morning. This is not a huge or elaborate gym, but it has all the basics you need including group exercise classes! and a lovely, positive, welcoming vibe. It is also very reasonably priced, for visitors and members. Bring a water bottle and a towel and you're all set. I resent a little the snooty review or two I've seen: If you're not paying gold-plated prices, don't expect a gold-plated gym. Body Edge had plenty of quality equipment, the group exercise room was well-outfitted, and everything, including the bathroom, was very clean. Thank you Body Edge! I look forward to my next visit.
I joined Body Edge in the last year. The gym has everything I need and I’ve made some great friends here. Body Edge added a new class about 6 months ago called Gym 101 and I signed up. It was fantastic and elevated my workout game considerably. The instructor, Anthony is also a Personal Trainer so I segued from Gym 101 to training with Anthony. He has really helped me through post-rehab shoulder injury and I’ve developed more strength, endurance and flexibility. Thanks BE!
New to the area or on vacation, if you are looking for a great local gym look no further. Body Edge has something for everyone. A very friendly group of people work out and work there! Can't say enough good things about this gym. Not your typical "commercial" establishment where no one knows your name. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!
I contacted Body Edge about doing a special Saturday morning workout for me and my bachelorette party, because I was having my bachelorette in Ocean Isle. The staff Amy, Cindy, Teri was all excellent to work with. They were all so friendly and accommodating with my requests! We got an awesome workout in a 1-hour tabata style class. The class was a private class with just the instructor and my bachelorette girls. It was the perfect sweat session before a day of drinking in the sun. The best part? We were sore for days after!! Teri’s workout was awesome : lots of creative and challenging exercises.
I love this place! I've felt welcomed since the first day I walked in. The staff is very friendly and the instructors are awesome, especially Jackie in Spin class!! Best gym between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach.
We recently went on vacation in Ocean isle. I found this place and was greeted by the most amazing women that work there! It had everything I needed to keep up with my regular workouts. I have to say it was the highlight of my vacation. Thank you all for a great spot to workout on vacation!!!
