Bodega Ellerslie
"Bodega Ellerslie, our first Edmonton location south of the River Valley, is just 15 minutes from the Edmonton International Airport, steps away from Blackmud Creek and surrounded by numerous hotels and head offices. Our Ellerslie location is the perfect spot for a speedy lunch, drinks afterwork and a night out with friends. With just 60 seats, this space is bright, dynamic with all the little details our properties are known for. This summer, snag a spot on the patio, and settle in - small plates and paella to share will transport you out of the suburbs and into Spain. This is a friendly neighbourhood restaurant & kindly ask guests to observe a two hour dining experience on busy nights."

What a great experience. Heard about this place from a couple of our friends. So we decided to try it out. We sat in the patio on a pleasant summer evening. The server was delightful and was very friendly. She took our orders and answered all our questions with care. We got couple of skewers and a sardine tapas. Each of them were as delicious as the other. The presentation was perfect. The service was quick too. Then we decided to order cod critters and sea food cake. The cod critters were excellent. We remembered having something similar in Lisbon. However the seafood cake was on a different level especially because of the saffron infused sauce. We ended up ordering a second seafood cake. This place is highly recommended and we will definitely be back there again.
Just as delicious as the other Bodega locations. We ordered the scallops the cucumber avocado salsa is *chef’s kiss*, succulent garlic prawns, warm baguette with butter and herbaceous mixed mushrooms. We also ordered a seafood cake but it wasn’t brought out and frankly we forgot as well. A good reason to come back!
Finally made the short walk over the Bodega. The service was great, manager 'O' was awesome and the best part .. the food was simply amazing. Serving sizes were great - two of us shared two tapas and a paella and it was more than enough food for us. We will be back sooner rather than later.Food: 5/5
Bodega Ellerslie was delicious! We tried a couple appetizers, which were the bacon-wrapped dates, garlic prawns, scallops, and bruschetta. All were great! The dessert was also delicious. The staff were super friendly too. Definitely worth a visit or two!
Great place for sharing small tapas plates.....but they also have main full size dishes. We were there on a 50% off wine bottle or glass Wednesday. A great deal! Bacon wrapped dates are always a favourite, tonight the stars of the show were the beef skewers delicious and the piri piri calamari so fresh tasting with just a little kick. Desserts were okay but we thought they could've been more creative in that department. Not a quiet restaurant, but we enjoyed the outing nevertheless.
Small, quiet place to eat. Love the atmosphere and service. I always order the paella. This time, I got it with extra rice. No wonder I loved it more than the last time! Lol Price is a bit pricey, but if you have extra on your budget, this place is worth trying.
The food here is quite tasty and worth trying. The caveat is that prices are on the higher side and you can quickly have a hefty bill. Still, if you're a seafood lover, it should be on your to-try list if you haven't been here or the other Bodega locations yet.Food: 4/5
This was our second visit to Bodega’s Ellerslie and we were not disappointed again. We 2 of us did not have reservations but were seated within 5 minutes. We ordered drinks while looking over the menu and by the time we decided on our food we had drinks in hand. We started out with the mista salad and patata’s bravas and had them within 10 minutes. Then our main course, mushroom and truffle risotto and Omaha steak about 10 minutes later. We devoured the appetizers but could only eat about half the risotto and most of the steak before packing it up so we could have dessert. We had the coffee crunch desert and if you like coffee crisp chocolate bars my favourite you will love this dessert. Looking forward to my next visit. Apologize for the photos that show we had already dug into our food before taking them. Dietary restrictions: We have nut and seafood allergies but had plenty of options. Parking: The parking lot has at least twenty stalls that are less than a 1 minute walk to the front door.
This is by far the best restaurant I've been to in Edmonton. The food was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was really inviting and chill. The service was beyond anything I've experience in any other restaurant... 5 stars all around. 10 OUT OF 10 WOULD RECOMEND. 10 OUT OF 10 will definitely be returning. We had boar cheeks, peri peri prawns, Jamon Serrano and the seafood paella. The bartender makes a mean old Cuban and the best Mojitos... wow, just wow... Loved the experience! Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian part of the menu
I love the idea of having a place to go for snacks and drinks! The menu is diverse enough to please the masses, and the portions are well sized so you can taste everything. Not a bad place to check out if want to try something new! Vegetarian options: There is a full vegetarian tapas menu
