I normally have a wonderful time here thanks to a specific bank employee (he's always so cheerful!) But when I came in to report my credit card lost, the bank teller told me I should just call MasterCard. I told her that wasn't the claim on the BMO website. This woman not only questioned where I got my sources but shrugged it off and still managed to report the card lost, which makes no sense to me. Telling me to go elsewhere when she's perfectly capable of reporting it lost? Am I that much of a nuisance?
When she was asking the questions, she worded them oddly and snapped at me for responding truthfully. Such as "Do you have a time for when the card was lost?" and truthfully, I said, no not really. Before I could state it was around 8:00pm, she snapped and said, "I need a time. As you can see on the screen, I need to put something down." Okay? I can't see the screen and I'm not aware of this process. And midway through the transaction, she said, "Look, why don't you just check on your phone as there is a pretty big line up behind you." I already told her previously I didn't have my phone on me. And there were only two people waiting. Making me feel more self-conscious about this than I did before.
Pretty awful experience to be treated like an imbecile. I also feel a lot of prejudice because I'm much younger than most BMO account holders. I'm a student. Full time. Don't treat me any different than someone with 4 million dollars in their bank account.

Direct deposit of rent for TWO years, suddenly failed and rent was 10 days late resulting in rent increase.
Now, two months later it is the 5th of the month and they failed on my direct deposit AGAIN resulting in rent being late.
No one takes responsibility and no one knows what went wrong, only
that they finally admitted it was 100% their error but would not say where or by whom.
Extreme stress for a person with disabilities and death in the family. Compassion level: 1.

Crappy service! I went there to pay for a bill. I even brought the bill statement with me and they still transferred my money to a wrong account. Ridiculous.It's the simplest thing to do and they failed. I went back there when I found out the bill haven't been paid and the old lady helped me just keep telling me I should pay my bills through online banking at home to avoid these kind of problems. Then why r u guys working here? Aren't u suppose to help customers instead of telling them to go home and do it online? They don't feel sorry at all. It's not my problem but I have to take the consequences that they made. If u value ur money don't come here. They are not helpful at all.
