Ive been with BMO for years with my business and personal banking and ive never seen it this bad. There's 14 people in line with 3 tellers.... not exactly the service it once was.
I would give this bank a zero if I could but unfortunately that’s not an option. I had significant e transfer fraud happen on my account and they will not reimburse me. I have been banking with them for twenty years. Can’t wait to switch once my mortgage is up for renewal. Awful customer service

Garbage company. Zero help over the phone or in person. Have had countless issues with BMO over the 10+ years I’ve been with them. Cancelling today and never looking back. Greedy company with zero benefits and constant inconveniences. They genuinely just don’t care at all there it’s pathetic. I mean who would when you’re representing one of the worst things ever created.
I am reminded why I moved all my banking to another bank. By far the WORST customer service ever. I got a letter in the mail for a promotion. In order to get the promotion I had to call the branch and make a bank appointment. Usually when you have a bank appointment with any bank your request is usually completed either that day or the next day. I had my back appointment SEPT 17. A week went by an I heard nothing so emailed and called the person I had my appointment with, no reply. Finally I got a call back on Oct 2 from the person I had my appointment with who said that she would look into it and would hear something on Monday Oct 4. Oct 4 came and went. I still haven't heard anything. I called and emailed the person again on Oct 8, nothing. Called the branch and left a message for a call back Oct 12, nothing. Called the branch again on Oct 13 and left another message for a call back, nothing. They really shouldn't state on their voicemail that someone will call you back by the end of the day when no one ever does call you back. I tried calling the 1-800 number Oct 12 and after going through the numerous menu options was giving a message that the hold time was between 1 to 2 hrs and no call back option at all so I guess they expect people to hold on the line for 2 hrs. So where do I go from here? I guess maybe I might get help if I actually go into the bank. Haha, what am I thinking? Probably not. Maybe I should just book another bank appointment? I would give zero stars if I could but I have to give at least 1 star to leave a review so they get 1 star which is still more than they deserve. FYI, TD is by far way better.
Lazy and incompetent staff that can't even be bothered to properly activate a replacement debit card. They didn't even bother to link it to my online banking or ask if I wanted them too but why would anyone not want them too. I wouldn't have had to replace the card if BMO was willing to help with unauthorized charges which according to the rep on the phone is "not their problem", and earlier this year I successfully sued them for violating the privacy act and releasing my personal info to a third party. BMO is the absolute worst, and I look forward to taking my services to a new bank as soon as I wrap up some financial loose ends.
Staff are poorly trained, very little problem solving skills and they won’t return emails and phone calls. Horrible experience and absolutely not what good looks like. Have closed accounts, moved to another bank and it’s been night and day.
I have only been with BMO a couple months but it's has just been such a good experience I want to share it. first off the customer service in the bank the first day I walked in to open a account was great. I didn't make a appointment I just walked in and was able to open an account on the spot, no hassle in and out. I was phoned a couple weeks later out of curiosity so be sure I was completely happy,a everything was working right. And then yesterday I was having a problem with my account. And standing in line I probably looked frustrating AF. So a customer service employee walks up takes me out of line and deals with my problem right away. Never have I experienced such great customer service from a bank. Every one is so happy and friendly in this branch. I have banked with Royal, Scotia, and Integris. Not bad, but BMO is better.
Very slow moving line. 10 people in line and only 2 tellers. No business line offered either. Prepare to wait a minimum 30 mins to do a simple business deposit.
Just went through the drive thru and the machine still not working. As I am quite disabled very hard for me to get inside. When will this be repaired and ready to use? Very disappointed
