I was skeptical after reading many of the reviews were not real and upselling practices. Unfortunately, my experience proved these concerns.nnI visited BLS for an Indian passport renewal. Before my appointment, I called BLS and asked about the passport photo requirement because the Passport Seva website was not accepting my photo. I was told that BLS could take a compliant photo for approximately $9.nnAt my appointment, the associate informed me that this would require purchasing the Premium Lounge Service for approximately $100. Only after I pointed out the poster on their own wall advertising passport photo services for $9, and mentioned that I had confirmed this by phone beforehand, did the associate suddenly remember that the photo service could in fact be provided without purchasing the premium package.nnThe photo issue turned out to be even more frustrating. After attempting to submit the photo themselves, the associate discovered that the website would actually accept my existing photo once the background was removed. No new photo was required at all.nnThey then discovered that my application was missing one piece of information: my emergency contact's address. I was told my options were to leave, complete a new application, and come back, or you guessed it purchase the Premium Lounge Service. Not wanting to make another trip and restart the process, I reluctantly paid the fee.nnAfter leaving, I reviewed the service poster and noticed that BLS advertises a computer with internet access for applicants. Now, I am curious why I was not informed of this option? If internet access was available on-site, I could likely have corrected the missing information myself rather than paying over $100 for a service that ultimately consisted of entering a single address. I spent over 3 hours filling out my application form and gathering the documentations only for them to charge me $100 to add an address to the form and call it 'premium service'.nnUpselling optional services is one thing. Failing to inform customers of significantly cheaper alternatives/services they offer is another. My experience left me feeling that the focus was on selling premium services rather than helping applicants complete their applications using the options already available to them.nnI have attached this poster for your own reference as well as my receipt so you know this is a real google review. Please ask about these individual service options before paying the $100.
I had a very positive experience at the BLS International office in Toronto. Anjali provided excellent customer service throughout my application process. She was professional, patient, and very helpful in answering all my questions. She guided me carefully through the application steps and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.nI truly appreciate her kindness, efficiency, and dedication to helping applicants. I went in for my Police Clearance Certificate PCC application and the team was professional, helpful, and very well informed. The process was smooth and I didn't have to wait long. Navjot guided me through my documentation and pointed out a few errors I'd missed, while Sourabh handled the final verification before submission. They gave clear guidance and were considerate of the applicant's perspective throughout. Highly recommend!!
I had a very positive experience at the BLS Application Centre in Toronto. I chose the regular service instead of the premium lounge and I was still welcomed warmly and treated with professionalism throughout the entire process. The application process was smooth, well organized and efficient.nnA special thank you to Anjali, who went above and beyond to help. I had accidentally brought only a photocopy of the front page of my passport and had forgotten to copy the back page. Even though the photocopy service is intended for premium lounge applicants, she kindly offered to make the additional copy for me. It was a small gesture, but it saved me a lot of hassle and showed genuine care for customers.nnAnjali was courteous, patient and professional throughout. She answered my questions, carefully reviewed my documents and made the entire experience stress-free. Excellent customer service and a great representative of the team.nnP.S. Bring PHYSICAL debit card or cash. Apple/Google Pay are not accepted
