The most amazing bakery ever! We had breakfast there and everything was incredible. The staff is super friendly, the bakery selection is out of this world and the breakfast was amazing. We had bloody Mary’s and lavender mimosas which were both to die for. Don’t drive by Vancouver without stopping here.
New favorite brunch spot! They were super kind at accommodating my food allergies too! Dairy, gluten, eggs they even had a vegan pastry at their outdoor grab and go. Super cute! Amazing staff. Delicious food! Will be making this a regular spot!
First time here and got a say I loved it. Beautiful place and good food with friendly staff. However, the raspberry cake sponge layer was dry and definitely not a favorite. Fries are delicious and seasoned well.
God I love this place. I would give 7/5 stars if I could. I come here often, it’s my favorite way to start the day. A little latte and croissant action, maybe a pastry if I’m feeling cheeky. Definitely my favorite bakery I’ve ever been to. Top notch quality, friendly service, convenient pick up window, and love that I can order from their app and swing by when it’s ready.
Wonderful, small, quaint bakery/restaurant with a surprisingly varied breakfast menu. Must try the quiche if you can… Great coffees as well. Only thing better than the food was the service. Simply outstanding! You will leave with a smile.
I went to check it out on a Friday morning and decided I wanted to dine in. Was there about 30 minutes after they opened. There two ladies waiting to be seated. They were sitting, eating some sticky buns. I asked if they were waiting and they said they were so they were given the buns to compensate for the wait. I sat for another 5 minutes. No one said hello or asked if I was waiting for a table. A gentleman who worked there went right over to the two ladies and handed them drinks - to further compensate for the wait. Said nothing to me. So I decided to go out and order from the express stand. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a butter croissant. Waited probably 20 minutes for a sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, but 20 minutes for ONE sandwich? AND no one said hello or asked if I wanted a table. Probability of going back is low.
Service is amazing, atmosphere is adorable. I had the crustless quiche which was broccoli and cheddar with a field green salad which was delicious. My friend had the egg scramble with potatoes. On the weekend they have beignets with lemon curd which are delightful.
We just had the MOST delicious meal and wonderful experience at Bleu Door Bakery. I had the quiche & my husband had the Bleu Lady, a take on croque madam, and both were exquisite. Their lavender mimosa is . The thing that stood out to me the most was happy employees. I watched them interact and they were truly kind to one another. Something that you don’t see a lot of today in the service industry. You can tell the employees are happy and that speaks volumes. Could not more highly recommend, we can’t wait to come back!
Update May 2022---another great experience at Bleu Door . I took Mom there for a post Mother's Day celebration. She loved it. Great service by Lily! This is the first time I've been back to the Bleu Door in a couple of years and WOW. BDB recently enlarged and expanded their seating area , increased and modified their offerings after a tough 2 years of Covid induced restrictions and challenges. Coinciding with their expansion, BDB received a recent write-up in the Columbian. Both the expansion and the write-up made BDB THE place to be today!. The pastry cases were loaded with more great offerings than ever. . The lunch menu , although limited, had a great selection of sandwiches , soups , salads and a quiche as well. I had the tuna avo sandwich with a side salad. The tuna avo sandwich came on the a marbled wheat white bread . Moist and TASTY. The side salad was a simple salad dressed with a tangy balsamic vinaigrette. For dessert , I had a slice of the olive oil lemon cake. Delicious and different. The energy and the buzz at lunch was palpable and fun. Service was efficient and fast by Elvia! Prices reasonable. Tasty and fun. I will be back.
Have wanted to stop off here for years but always hard to make that 2pm closing… finally made it! And oh my… made it in around 1:15 so just in time to grab a drink and lunch. The staff was wonderful and the food was awesome! Freshly made breads that have that homemade taste to them… the lightest dressing on the side salad that the Mrs and I kept wondering how they made it. Def looking forwards to coming back way earlier to try and get sone croissants.
