Blackwater Cafe

What a delightful evening over the summer! I am not sure why it had taken us so long to try this place out. The Sunday $4 Martinis and 1/2 Price Apps Truffle fries! specials were awesome. And, the rest of our food was just as great - Pork chop and Shrimp & Grits entrees, Key lime cheesecake dessert. The service was also top notch, which is so rare to find these days since Covid. Thank you for a wonderful meal. This is honestly the best meal we have enjoyed at the lake to-date. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Finally came in for dinner after having amazing take out. Our waitress, Jordan was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable! The food was to die for, I have never had a pork chop so flavorful and juicy! From the youngest greeter thru the second we walked out the door superb service!! We came all the way from Wisconsin for this amazing food and we will be back! My favorite was the Peach Cobbler

Absolutely incredible! Jordan was the best server and our food was AMAZING! We had such yummy drinks, appetizers, meals, and desserts! Their martinis are yummy! We already can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend! This place is a MUST if you are at SML!

We passed by this restaurant dozens of times during our SML stay, and decided to give it a try. Glad we did, the service was excellent and the food was really enjoyable. The burgers were juicy and tasty and came with an order of fries. Try the fries in the honey butter that comes with the bread basket. They almost taste like waffles. Wouldn't have thought to give it a try until I overheard other diners mention it.

Wonderful experience!!! A very inviting restaurant with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Service was phenomenal thanks Chris food was great. Excited to come back and try some other things like the salmon, prime rib, some of their alfredo. Apparently everything is made from scratch and it definitely tasted like it. The restaurant was super clean and the food came out fast and hot. I had the pulled pork sandwich which came out I believe on a brioche bun with a side of french fries.

Great place. Very friendly service and the food was great. I imagine that it's very busy in the summertime but we were here at the end of winter and we were in and served pretty quickly.Food: 5/5

Didn't realize reservations were recommended. Wasn't an issue. They were glad to serve us and everything was good...from service to food. Got the chicken and waffles special and Mahi.

Excellent food and attentive service. Loved the chefs flatbread and my husband's steak and my shrimp and grits were also excellent. Topped it off with s'mores creme brulee. Wonderful all around!

We own down the street from Blackwater Cafe and ALWAYS consistent food and staff. Great place for a good and fair priced meal! Happy to recommend them.Food: 5/5
