What a beautiful place. Enjoyed some great beers and a nice environment. Plenty of room so that you don't feel overcrowded or have to shout over other conversations. Big tables and tons of games available to play. Parking is tight in the lot directly in front but there is lots of on-street and lot parking nearby for free. I will definitely be back.
I have visited Blackstack Brewing many, many times yep, I drink beer - lots of good beer. I always am drawn back to Blackstack for the unique feel of the place, the many craft beer offerings especially their unique Berliner Weisse sours, and the fun people who drink and work there! On this night, I was hosting two friends from Colorado. We spent the evening downstairs in Can Can Wonderland, then finished off the night in Blackstack. We played board games, drank fine beer, and enjoyed each other's company. That's the kind of place Blackstack is - laid back, casual and.... cozy. It needs a fireplace! Just kidding, but seriously? The historic building that the Brewery is in is large and spacious. There is ample parking across the street 3 smallish lots available, and street parking. Masks are encouraged. Seating inside is cozy, with comfortable "historic" aka well-used smelly? old sofas and coffee tables, as well as conventional seating and tables for board games. Lately, the brewers at Blackstack are on an IPA-tear, as in all manners of IPA's - NEIPA's, DDH IPA's, West Coast IPA's, California Style IPA's. You get the drift. Lots and lots of IPA's. When I was there last week, there was even a TRIPLE DRY HOPPED IPA. Crazy stuff. They did offer some other types of beers - a Kolsch, a couple of pilsners, a porter, etc. But I was there for their smoothie sours, to which they offered 5 last week on the menu. Their smoothie sours are oh so good. Of course, I bought a couple of crowlers of the "good stuff" to take home see my photos. Food is not really offered for sale in the tasting room, water is available. You can bring food in to eat, no issue. Food trucks frequent BS. They added a jukebox lately! Good music. A large screen TV is also now on the wall. I don't know how they keep the plants alive in there, but they soften the brewery, along with the unique furniture and relaxed vibe. I will happily give Blackstack a 5-star rating for the great staff, good beer selection, and the fun vibe and atmosphere! That BS smell is so delicious. I'm thirsty now.....
Had a great time on a taco Tuesday! You pay $12 plus tax and you get a beer of your choice and three tacos, of which there is a vegetarian option. The service was great and folks were super awesome. It was a little bit loud so it's not great for having a conversation and I'd say you can't really enjoy a few beers because a lot of the beers are high on ABV so drink with caution. Beers were good and unique and had lots of different cool names. Definitely a must!!
Parking was fun due to the indoor amusement park next door and people coming out the wrong way from the underground parking, so we parked in the road. Nice big space, amazing beer, a bit loud with the echoes and brewing going on, but well worth it for the beer. Famous for IPAs, but everything is good here.
Really good brewery with a great vibe! Plenty of room, easy to order and a nice atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back to work our way through their menu.
Great atmosphere and decor; reminds me of a lot of breweries in San Francisco. Good prices too. However the beers I ordered weren’t any good. Had the mimosa sour slushee and the kolsch. Both were too bitter and lacking depth, body, and character. Drank both in a the span of 20min and didn’t get a good buzz either. Cool place to hangout though
A big open taproom with some outdoor tables as well. They have plenty of boardgames and TV projected on one wall, plus pull tabs and a claw machine and can can wonderland is downstairs if you really need more entertainment. They don't serve food but often have food trucks a good pizza one on the day I visited. Most importantly the beer is good. BlackStack is making some of the best hazy ipas around. I do wish there had been a bit more variety in beer style when I visited, but it's hard to fault them for sticking to what they are good at.
A beautiful place where you can enjoy beers! There’s plenty if board games! I absolutely lovely the gardens vide inside a brewery! So beautiful day/night
Great beer! The only downside is they don’t have food but sometimes they do have a food truck out front. Wife and I enjoyed our time here overall. They have my favorite beer!
Definitely hopping on a Friday evening. Great beers. Their IPAs are nearly legendary, so I had to come to the source. I had a Kolsch and a west coast ipa. Pizza bus oit front. Parking can be tight, but I found a spot in the parking garage free. Lots of plants, kind of noisy. Great beer. Order at the counter
