Our 9 year old Son asked about joining some sort of Martial Arts training and we like the idea, so I started doing some research and spoke to people at 4 different places. I also read online and learned that Tae Kwon Do is a great and engaging discipline for kids...also that the Instructor makes all the difference in the world. Rykel at BBW Maple Ridge was responsive to my inquiries and offered demo classes to see how we like it. We all liked it right away and 6 months later we feel great about being part of BBW Maple Ridge (Vancouver). We both work full time jobs and our son is in multiple sports, so the flexible days and evening times for classes works great for us. Rykel is a fantastic Instructor!! Our son is engaged, enjoys going and has impressed us with his discipline, respectfulness and memory in learning the patterns. If you're looking for a good fit for your child and your family, I highly recommend a demo class at BBW Maple Ridge!

We did several trial classes at different martial arts locations and found that Black Belt World offered us exactly what we were looking for. Instructor Rykel is amazing with the kids, he keeps each class fun, with new activities, meanwhile incorporating the discipline we were looking for. We have seen a complete change in our 4 year old son and am just waiting to enroll our 2 year old daughter. Amazing!

Since our daughter, Daniela, started taking taekwondo lessons here, we have seen a huge difference in her confidence level, physical fitness, and co-ordination. The instructors are friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and encourage the students to strive to be their best. They have fun while learning.

My daughter has completed her black belt and continuing to strive for the higher dans. Instructor Rykel is a great mentor and teacher! He is patient and all the students love to learn from him. With perseverance, dedication and determination, any child can strive for a black belt.

I have my Tiny Tiger enrolled and enjoy watching him accomplish new forms. Instructor Rykel is very kind and disciplined - a great mentor for the kids!
