Black Bear Kayaking

We had an excellent time on this tour last month. It was a 3 hour round trip with Kayak to the island and a walk around Meares Island. It was a fantastic tour from a very passionate and knowledgeable young man who was a pleasure to listen to and tour with. Would highly recommend it!

We did the kayaking wirth bears tour, and we were the first people that didn't see bears :D still I am giving 5 stars, because nature is that way and the effort of them was really big that we still see a bear. So when we got back on the motorboat after kayaking we searched for one by boat. And in the end we really did see a mother bear with her cub! Not the same as from the kayak but still wonderfull. Thanks for the great day!

We took a 3 hours sunset kayak tour with Mathew. It was the first time we kayaked in the ocean. Mathew taught us a lot about sea kayaking and we had a great time. He is fun and knowledgeable, cares about both environment and local culture. Strongly recommend!

We did the 4-hour Kayaking tour over to Meares island and then hiked along the Big Tree Trail. It was awesome! Our guide, Ben, was not only knowledgable about kayaking and patient with beginners, but he knew a ton about the history, geology, and biology of our surroundings. I expected to have fun splashing around but the educational aspect was a really great detail. I highly recommend checking Black Bear out! Well worth the reasonable prices.

This was our first time Kayaking. The guides we had were just great! We did the 2.5hr tour thinking that would almost be too long, not long enough. The 5hr tour would have been great. We saw a sea lion, held starfish and learnt all about different kinds of jellyfish and seaweed/kelp. I can't wait to go again!
