What a nice, busy coffee shop! The lineup is long but I must say, their hot chocolates from hot chocolate festival were delicious! We also ordered some treats and although we found the sugar cookie quite hard, we definitely enjoyed the macaroon. I would need to try more things on their menu they have lots of pretty pastries on display. My first impression was that it looks great nice and bright and the food looked really good! Service was friendly, but I really wish we got to sit down but it was crazy busy and it never died down. If you go here, be prepared to wait in line although it moves at a good rate. The good thing is, there are some benches outside and there’s free parking underground in the parkade.
Went here the other day for a coffee and some food and the look of the place exceeded my expectations. The place is beautiful, and they still have LOTS of food options around 3pm which is surprising for a cafe. The cookies and baked goods were delicious. The iced coffee was very smooth and creamy, not too rich which was perfectly what I wanted. The sandwiches were also very nice. The Mac n cheese was unfortunately very very bland. But you do get a big portion for the price you pay. The customer service was fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and they tried to make your experience the best they could. I also noticed how amazing they are at cleaning up the tables right away when a customer leaves so another customer is able to sit down immediately to enjoy their food. Parking out front is easy, and the skytrain is right across the street. Very convenient. There isn’t much table space inside , it will fill very quickly so be prepared to wait for a spot. I will definitely come back here again. Just not too often due to the prices being on the higher side. Definitely would recommend checking this new place out !
Just what this neighbourhood needs! Beautifully designed, and beautiful display of a plethora of baked delights of every kind! Service is friendly and fast. Even the bathroom is fun! Airy, patisserie concept with tables inside and out. Try the hearty Mac n cheese square if you're hungry or the chocolate zucchini muffins. I guarantee everything is delish! Street parking, accessible. I'll be back.
First time trying this place out off of recommendation from friends. Absolutely loved it! The cafe and bakery is really new and clean, the staff are friendly and the baked goods we tried were great. Will definitely have to come back to try more. A great addition to the community. Gave me downtown Vancouver cafe vibes if that makes sense.
We’ve tried BjornBar Bakery in North Vancouver and came to check out their new location in Burquitlam. Lots of baked goods as well as sandwiches and drinks to choose from. They also have a great selection of their gourmet dessert bars which are so good. Sweet but good! Highly recommend to come for a hot drink and sweet treat!
Amazing cafe! Visited here with my GF wasn’t too busy although was hard to find a seat as most people took up a table of 4 for even just for 1 person. We tried their pineapple coconut white hot chocolate and the dark almond hot chocolate. Service was quick. We stayed longer and tried a couple their house made bars. Excellent will be back!
The atmosphere is great, very inviting to sit and relax. The prices aren’t cheap, but the quality is excellent. Definitely a fantastic location for a nice coffee and pastries or lunch. I will go back and try other items.
It was my first time to visit this new coffee shop and bakery in Burquitlam. It has commercial parking for public at the back of the building. It’s easy to miss the parkade’s entrance though as it’s hidden. I got here around 4:30pm. I ordered latte with almond milk and got a dark chocolate bomb for snacks. Both items were fine in terms of quality and pricing. It has indoor and outdoor seating areas. It is quite spacious. Burquitlam does not have many coffee shops like this yet. It has less competition at this moment. This area will have many high rises or residential buildings in the future. Hope this coffee shop and bakery will keep up with the good vibes and continue serving in this neighbourhood.
Impressive selection of desserts and pastries. Lots of savory foods to choose from also. Many choices of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available too. Big fan of the artichoke tart and the quiche. Creme brulee bar was also amazing. The Nanaimo bar was tasty but perhaps a bit too sweet. Also grabbed a mystery bag which was full of assorted treats. Some of it was very stale and felt inedible. But there were also some good finds in it. Probably just up to chance... but just be careful of the really old stuff that they shouldn't be selling that you might get.
Wow. So many choices and so hard to pick. Great service. Pastries was good but soup was soso. Would have been nice to know soup came with bread so I didn't order a sausage roll.
