Bistro De L'Anse

About

Great selections of beers. Good food options with beer pairing recommendations. Friendly staff and cozy vibe. There is also a playground for the kids. Very convenient if you are camping next door. There’s a line up during the weekend and reservations are not possible and/or when they have a musical band. Unfortunately, my deer burger was slightly over cooked. Fish and chips were a little under seasoned.
Beautiful terrace in the back close to the river. Great and interesting selection of beers that use some quite interesting boreal ingredients in some of their beers which fits their theme, they have something for everyone, but definitely some adventurous choices. The food was amazing, we had Venison Burger, and Tartare as well as the poutine...Great atmosphere and service.
Great place for drinks and in this case pizza! Got the stuffed pizza and the potatoe/ bacon white sauce one. Both were filling. The beer was great too! Had the "balloon" one. Waiters were super friendly and helpful for us English speakers : Thanks for the great time!
Excellent service and beautiful location! The Poutine de cerf and the Pouding Chomeur were excellent.
@JCCRUISING : I will start with the positive, the waiter was courteous and the food arrived at our table hot. The negative, the food is bland and tasteless. It would need spices to bring out the taste. The appetizer for two was served without individual plates. The mussels pasta dish had no vegetables and was not served with a side dish to put them shells aside. I believe that with a little work, the dishes would be excellent. Location is nice, with a view on the water.
I really enjoyed this place. The seating area outside is beautiful and overlooks the river and the mountains. The service was very friendly, and the local beer selection is wide and reasonably priced. The food was good but what’s really worth it is the red venison tartare. It’s absolutely delicious, fresh and a must-try. If you are passing in the area, it’s a nice place to stop to have supper.
Service was excellent, view are beautiful. Food was good. We had the pizza, poutine and chicken sandwich. Would come back if we’re in the area ever again. Beers were very good especially the salted one.
Food and beer was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There was about 18 different beers all local and mostly organic. Food was fresh and delicious. Would recommend!
I had fish and chips and wife had penne au cerf rouge. Both were delicious and not meant to be shared. I would recommend fish and chips. The menu is really nice if you like stationary supplies. I love nice stationary supplies. It is a beautiful menu that is binded together in duo-tang folder and has a beautiful font. No English in it. Shame really. They are ambassadors for Zone Boreal which gets food locally sourced.
CHARMING! Delicious food: the soup of the daysquash soup was so tasty and comforting, followed by deer tartare accompanied by a generous portion of fresh greens & marinated veggies. Great selection of microbrew beer. The atmosphere was of quaint farmland and their terrasse is absolutely beautiful. RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED, they have a kids menu. On a cool evening they will light the fireplace and they also have scheduled live music once in a whilefree or $
