A chill basement bar with a back patio that's open all year serving up cheap drinks and delicious food.

Story

Opening in 1984, Bistro 422 has been a staple in the College & Bathurst area for over three decades. Originally a fine dinning establishment in the 80's, the owners saw a shift in the business atmosphere and decided to switch the business to a bar & grill in the early 90's.
Now Bistro 422 is known for their affordable drinks including, 32oz mini drink pitchers with 4oz of liquor($14) or their House Beer 60oz pitcher. ($12) In recent years they have introduced Mojito's and Sangria's that have now become extremely popular.

Reasonably priced food & drinks & a cozy heated back patio that feels like you're at a friends house - which I'd say is a great feeling.
One of the best bars in the area. Have been going here almost 15 years and it's still the same!
One of my go to spots downtown! It’s a great place to get a few reasonably priced drinks and food fries supreme are my fave. They have mixed drink pitchers - you must try this Killer Kool-Aid. Their back patio is great too
Lonely little well priced bar down some stairs. Had waiter service and he was a pleasant chap. Multiple sports on the televisions. I had a selection of beer and all was nice. We didn't have any food but what was served looked nice. We will be back again when in the area for more food and drinks.
The back patio is amazing, the place is very easy going and the staff are very interesting to talk to. I'm not sure what's in their house beer but I keep coming back after all these years. A unique experience unlike any other bar in the core.
These folk have been dear to my heart for 30 years . . .a very established pub dedicated to customer appreciation!
The ultimate TO classic. This is a bar infamously well known to those who grew up downtown and is unassuming, inexpensive, and always fun.
