One of the best fish & chips we’ve ever had! The fish was so juicy and tender and the portion was so generous and it was not greasy at all. The owner is so friendly and passionate about the food! We had the Family Haddock combo plus an order of shrimps. It was -23 and he was worried that the food was not hot when we got back home and told us to heat it up at 350F for 10 min if it got soggy. He really cared about it! We appreciate that!!! We couldn’t finish it all and reheated later and it was still so delicious! 350F for 10 min! They were voted number 1 Fish & Chip two years in a row! We are not surprised! Due to the pandemic restrictions, only take-out is allowed. Can’t wait to visit again. Let’s support local!
The most friendly waiter I’ve ever encountered. She advised us and even brought out a calculator to decide if we should go for the family back or order individually for the 5 of us without hesitation. Got us extra plates and neatly organized everything efficiently better than fancy expensive restaurant. The fish and fries were fresh and so far the best I’ve had. Overall the service and her friendly character was the best part that made it an amazing experience.
What a gem! This place has fantastic fish and chips. Been a long time since I had fish and chips this good. Halibut was flakey and moist. Not greasy at all. I will return soon.
Food was great, staff is so friendly & quick to help you. Fish & chips with coleslaw was good & enough for me, my dinner mate had a small Caesar salad and was full.
We rode our bicycles all the way from Toronto to have their delicious shrimps. Shrimp and fries are the best thing. They're gigantic and so crispy and delicious! ***edit. Went back again today. Seems like it’s a must to do while in cobourg. If you have time Boro the owner has many stories to tell Food is plentiful and delicious still
We live 3 hours away, my sister just move to Cobourg. We ordered halibut and chips for twelve of us! Absolutely the best fish and chips we have ever had! Crispy, tender chunks of fish, batter not greasy, great chips and SUPER FRIENDLY staff. Will definitely go again!!

FINALLY decent fish and chips in the area! Properly fried and not too greasy. Came out of kitchen quickly after ordering. Very busy with take out orders, and still on top of diners in booths. We didn't care for the style of tartar sauce but was not in a little packet so appreciate that. We'll be back!Food: 5/5
So l would like to tell all you people that the big mouth fish and chips was amazing tonight.l would like to thank Christine and Dennis for a great meal. So if you like great fish and chips and l mean lots. ......Not like before. You will sit down and enjoy great service and Very tasting piece of fish where you can actually see a nice thick white piece of halibut battered up nicely great homemade tartar sauce and lots of fries fresh cut. Give it another try trust me you won't be disappointed.
First time in a restaurant in a year because of covid and it as average. 3.5 stars. Halibut was a little dry over cooked. Chips were a little rubbery but at least they were hot. Coleslaw was 2 stars. Best thing was the batter wasn’t overly greasy like George’s 2 blocks away. Service was friendly and fast and I would go again but will try the haddock next time.
