Awesome place to spend with family, friends, and loved ones. I'vee gone since my childhood and am now able to take my own kids one of which doesn't LOVE camping like I do and they both enjoyed the time spent. Nice trails for walking and hiking, beautiful scenery and wildlife beyond.
Well worth fall camping peaceful quiet and clean. Lots of great scenery, perfect size campsites for a great price. New roads are in and are great hopefully people remember the speed limit to keep all safe.
We camped here two nights #42. Nice spacing. We had a electric site but was warned that the circuit could get overloaded if everyone runs AC. Beach was nice but lake water is murky. Tons of biting bugs. Sites near water have no shade, while farther sites have a thick canopy. Site was sloped but level side to side. Fire rings and tables in good shade. Road in had some rough spots but not too bad. Several maintained trails and a Frisbee golf course. Dump easy to use but even as a camper you have to pay extra to use according to their fee schedule.
Beautiful park, heavily wooded, lots of wildlife. Highly recommend. Beware of active raccoons overnight camping!
Beautiful park, we stayed in the group camp site and it was amazing, great views of the water. Looking forward to coming back
Great place with much to do for kids and families. Awesome place for a family reunion... we were all able to hang out and enjoy the beautiful day.
I really like this park. If your at the end of the loop on the West side, you will have deer and other wide life coming up to your camper. Just put you garbage and food away at night of the raccoons will get into it. The sites are big with trails between them and lots of tree cover so not a lot of sun at the sites. The playground is new and has lots of options. It's nice having the disc gold course right there too. They recently upgraded the electrical to all sites which is great. Only reason for missing one star is they don't have any flushing toilets, no showers, boat landing isn't very good, and the water looked like pee soup and was not safe so the kids couldn't swim. As long as none of that's a deal breaker, which it wasn't for us, we will continue to go there.
This is a really great park and campground. Nicely sized campsites with electric 30 amp max. Pads are packed pea gravel and some are pretty level. Also, some sites offer a very nice lake view. Plentiful trails for hiking and mountain biking. Also horse riding trails if you have one. While there is good parking for those with horse trailers there is not horse camping. The vault toilet facilities are new and we'll kept. However there are no bathrooms with running water and no shower building on site. There are places to get drinking water near each campground loop. If you have an RV, be prepared to pay $7 as of 2021 to use the dump station, even if you paid for a campsite. Also be prepared for the dump station to be closed unexpectedly. If you have a power boat this is a good lake for play. Lots of fishers on the lake as well. There is a launch fee, daily or annually.
This is one of my favorite places to explore in the area! There's something for everyone here. Hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, camping, biking, disc golf and plenty of space for gatherings. Some pretty spectacular views here too.
Absolutely beautiful! Hiking, biking, horseback riding trials. All of which are really well maintained. Camping lots were great too. Your not on top of each other but close enough to see people's faces. Bathrooms were very clean. Multiple boat landings and a great place to kayak. Looking forward to my next trip out
