BIG BOY

Have been stopping at this location for years on our way home from our cottage. We will not be stopping here anymore. This place should just close. Dirty greasy floors, nasty restrooms, poor food quality and child size portions on our recent visit has convinced us to eat elsewhere. Our experience over the last couple of years with gooey fish and cold dry french fries, very sloppy Big Boy burgers and Slim Jim's that need a knife and fork to avoid making a mess. Breakfast portions are a joke, 2 breakfast sausages, really! Hash brown potatoes that are reheatedand actually burned. They actually asked us if we wanted jam for our toast, they have removed the jam assortment tray and asked what flavor we would like. We use to love going to Big Boy because you knew that you could always get a decent meal reasonably priced. So sad but by bye Clare Big Boy.

This Big Boy was not your typical Big Boy experience. From apathetic young lady that greeted(?) us to our waitress, Chelsea, to the under cooked onion rings this BB leaves a lot to be desired. Burgers were just OK. Onion rings undercooked. Chelsea said she would order more. After waiting for 10 minutes I finally approached shift supervisor. Onion rings finally appeared. Spoke to woman in rest room who told me her hash browns and chicken tenders were overcooked and burned. Shift supervisor took my meal off our bill which was nice and also appreciated. Most pleasant and caring employee was at register when we paid. She asked about our meal and my husband said it had been a struggle. She immediately apologized and hoped we would stop by again and hoped our next experience was better. Definitely would not stop again. red. Cbe

Worst dining experience ever. Terrible service. Soup and salad bar looked like it has been sitting there since yesterday. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen. The flies were however, quite abundant. Our service consisted of two other waitresses, from different sections. It took almost half hour for my cup of water to appear, and approx another 30 for my milk shake. Which was more like milk, without the shake. Thin as water with chunks of walnut, and clumps of caramel. The bacon they brought my son about chipped a tooth. I know these servers are paid 95% of their income through tips, but I will NOT be tipping thus server.

Pleasantly surprised that they had turkey sausage for all of us who don't eat pork. Food was out fast and hot, good customer service. Will return 👍

Use to come here daily but stopped a few months ago because of terrible staff and cold food. Stopped in today to take a chance. All new friendly staff, food was hot and good for the first time in a long while. If you stopped coming you may want to try again. Things are looking up.
