Big Boy Family Restaurant

I'm giving it five stars right now, because it was absolutely packed to the rafters on Father's Day when we went but the lovely young man that we had as our waiter went above and beyond to make sure that our lunch was great. And people were being so awful to him about things that he couldn't control... and even though everybody was rushed off their feet due to staff issues, our lunch was amazing and he actually took better care of us than some wait staff in restaurants that I've been in that had a full staff.

It was hard for me to just give 2 stars but it's truly what it deserves.This has been one of my favorite restaurants much of my life. But giving kudos to the fact they were very, very busy to the point of overwhelmed. They were very understaffed and trying to do what they could. So service was slow to the point of our food being barely warm. But that doesn't excuse the food. Gravy is supposed to pour, not be a clump of pudding. Undercooked hashbrowns, no condiments offered and when asked for it took to long to get some furthering our food going cold.

If you work night shift and want an early morning burger after work this place is your best bet. Everywhere else makes you wait until 10:30 or 11am to order a burger but not Big Boy! Amazing burgers and the price isn't too bad when you take into account what you're paying for. The burgers have a nice char and they don't skimp on toppings. They've also never got my order wrong like some places. Betty B is great. Give her a raise for always making my burgers just the way I ask.

It was my first job and they discriminated against me on the grounds of believing I'm disabled when I'm not. So they gave me the lowest hours as a food prep. Would work 2-4 hours a week and I did that nearly for 2 years all the while being disrespected by staff and management.

Aaron i believe a manager at this location is a very rude individual! I pull up to the speaker and no one answers. After 5 min of sitting there I go inside. I ask if there is a problem with the speaker. The waitress is nice says sometimes it doesn't catch but she will be with me shortly. Aaron comes over answers the phone and puts in a pickup order right in front of me. I ask if she could put my order in and she tells me she doesn't have time real snotty. I said you just put in an order. She stated it was a pickup. I said yes I came for a to go order as well and sat at the speaker for 5 minutes and the speaker didn't work that's why I'm in here. She says it's not her fault I didn't pull up to the speaker right for it to go off. Then says fine I'll put your order in what do you want. I look at her dumb foundly and she says what do you want I don't have time to play your games. WOW didn't know I was play games! First time ever at this location and I'll never go back.

We have a big boy in our town the have good food and the people are very polite. There is a manager there that got our order wrong and we get the unsweetened tea all the time. She took our order and she still gave us sweetened tea . But charged us for unsweetened. I still like their food but i don't like her taking my order. I really wish she didn't work there.

Our waitress was very nice and did a good job serving us. Other than that, there isn't much positive to report. All of our meals were extremely overcooked. At one point, two members of the staff in the kitchen could be heard arguing loudly over something to do with dropping an item in the dishwater. The male worker said he didn't drop the "m@therf#cker in there", after which one of the female employees told him to "watch his mouth" because he could be heard in the dining room. This may have just been an off day, but for people just passing through, it has made the list of places not to stop at again.

Food was good. But they forgot the pickles for my wife. Didn't ask if I needed a refill. My drink was gone 3/4 of the way through my meal.

We had Michael for a server before we even had our food my drink was empty and at the end of the table so he could see it was empty he never got me a single refill... so then we order a hot fudge cake it sits upfront waiting for him to bring it to us for over 10 minutes and it wasn't even busy three server on the floor and 7 tables. Very unhappy

Got there at 8:30 this morning. My son and I got the buffet. All the food was cold. Most of it was like they took it right out of the fridge. The sausage gravy, potatoes, hash browns, sausage party's. Everything cold. Told the waitress and she Dident care. She just went and stirred the stuff up. Will not be going there again.
