Big Al's Aquarium - Mississauga

I recently visited this amazing fish store and was thoroughly impressed! The selection of fishes is extensive, and the staff are incredibly helpful. My purchase of a 10-gallon tank, decorations, and water additives was seamless. Initially, I acquired three balloon mollies, and just yesterday, I added platy fishes to my collection. So far, they are thriving thanks to the excellent care and products provided by this store. Highly recommend!

Bought everything here, fish, plants, aquarium. New tank, found out about cycle later, after 2 weeks cycled tank. Bought the tests and bacteria to help cycle here, 0 fish died, the staff was very helpful after I made the mistakes. Bought 10 fish here and 7 shrimp. Love the store, definitely going to be buying bigger tank and majority of fish from here, they got great idea with sand and desert star wars theme. Highly recommend this store for variety of fish and fish related products.

Me and my Boyfriend visited this place It was so amazing it’s like a mini reptile sanctuary pretty cool for a super center nice and clean I think they treat their pets nicely the habitat, food, cages everything seems ok to me!!

After being a customer here for over 15 years I received the worst possible customer service ever from one of the department’s managers, the lady was very rude, aggressive and unprofessional, she falsely claimed that she changed the price tag of an item I bought few days earlier and wanted a second one due to the size of my tank, even when I was still see the discounted price tag on the shelf.nnThen she claimed that the item I am buying is different than the one I bought earlier, she explained the difference and when we opened the box it was the exact same item.nnFurthermore, she claimed that only the store manager can handle the issue and he is not available that day, after a lot of talk she called him and he simply told her to price match the item as long as there is a receipt shows the item price which I had and gave it to her but she for some reason didn’t want to mention the receipt to the store manager.nnVery unfortunate to have an employee who ruins the hard work of all the other nice people in there, over the years I had a great experience in here, very friendly staff and the store manager is one of the best experienced, professional and kind person but the attitude I got from the lady that day was stunning and unacceptable.nnHonest opinion, this employee who I don’t know her name because she doesn’t have a name tag but I am sure the front desk guys know who am I talking about, she should be trained on how to control her reactions, deliver better service and never give people attitude.

They really shouldn’t have birds it’s extremely upsetting to see that they are risking this birds getting hurt by not even simply closing the locks properly , and I know parrots can untwist them but budgies aren’t strong enough every single cage had open links. It’s bad enough that most of the toys they sell aren’t safe. If you are going to have parrots/birds at least have someone that knows about them to keep them safe.
