Carbonic Coffee is absolutely wonderful. From the aesthetically pleasing interior to the kind, chatty barista, to the delicious buttery croissant, and the absolute best latte i have ever had - Carbonic is just so good. The latte was made with a delicious coffee that had notes of strawberry, it was incredible! I also love all the local goods available for purchase, from coffee wares to home goods! Not to mention, if you buy a bag of coffee beans you get a free drink!!!
I had a flat white here and it was one of the best flat whites I’ve had - the flavour was great and it was super creamy. I noticed that the barista who made it actually redo it because he didn’t get the latte art right the first time. Although I don’t care much for the art, I appreciated that he put so much care into crafting my drink. The decor here was absolutely beautiful, but my only critique is that a lot of the chairs are more aesthetic than comfortable to sit in. They didn’t have aircon when I went so it was really warm and I felt like the music choice could have been more relaxed/calming to match the decor. Although it looks like it would be a nice place to sit back and read/journal based on the aesthetic, it’s definitely more of a catch-up-with-friends coffee shop because of the music and because it’s SO LOUD. Don’t come here on the weekends if you want to work, but definitely come if you want a nice place to chat.
Finally visited Carbonic Coffee and omg I’m returning to this cafe again! I was surprised to see the cafe so spacious. There’s a lot of seatings with tables and places to chill! I was also impressed with their Strawberry Matcha. Highly recommend! I also love their music selections, very chill and jazzy. Can’t wait to try their other drinks!
A lovely coffee shop with lots of natural light and great minimalist decor. Came here on a weekday and it was quite so there were some people studying/working. The croissants are super good!
A lovely cafe, a hidden gem really. Super chill atmosphere, friendly and professional barista, and tasty pastries. I tried their flat white and Nutella banana croissant and loved both of them!
Great place to date! Flat white was okay, chocolate croissant was amazing. The tasty deco and cozy vibe would definitely bring us back!
A cute coffee shop to explore and have coffee with friends. I ordered hot chocolate which is made beautifully by the barista. They have some pastry options but not too impressed to me. Located in downtown, it is a nice spot if you want to explore coffee places around U of T, Spadina and MTU…
Visited this cafe from out of town and was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting a small European-style cafe but this location had lots of seating. Great selection of specialty coffee some very expensive but also your traditional beans! Though the service was great, I would’ve liked some more passion from the baristas. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the city!
This place is excellent - the interior is a super calming neutral tone room, that feels like it’s carved out of stone. The coffee itself is also excellent - I’ll usually go for either an Americano or the carbonic which is tonic water with an espresso shot in it. Sounds a bit strange, but it’s the perfect refreshing summer drink. The Americano/coffees are a very nice roast and aren’t too expensive $3.9 for an Americano. Great relaxed coffee spot in downtown Toronto.
The drinks were pretty good - especially the strawberry G matcha and blue sakura! The space was amazing overall! So aesthetic and minimalistic!! Check @eatarydiary for the full review
