Nice playground with a pirate ship. Many fishing spots nearby with picnic tables and public washroom. There are so many fishes. Even inexperienced person's will catch many.
1. Nice and peaceful place around Rice lake. 2. Good for fishing and boating mainly. 3. Not very crowded. Very quiet with old town vibes. 4. Has a children's play area. 5. 2 to 3 eating places around. 6. Washrooms are available.
By the end of the day, it was perfect closure. Beautiful view of Rice Lake. We didn't know there were fine restaurants an playground there. Next time we will enjoy a full day.
No of leash dogs, no BBQs are allowed and no fish. This has been highly praised location but I found it quite inconvenient. Been fishing for half a day and nothing. Tons of fishermen around the place and I’ve seen no one catch anything. The only positive is a kids playground. That’s all folks.
Great park and playground. Nice modern equipment for the kids, a walking path with gazebos and access to docks in the warmer weather. The only issue is that it is very near an LCBO and a lot of beer bottles and vomit tend to litter the already difficult parking lot. Lots of goose poop on the ground, somehow not in the playground though.
I live in the area and always love visiting Bewdley. The view is spectacular! Some nice restaurants to eat at. Great place to launch a boat or a snowmobile from or just sit and relax. Playground: Newly installed modern play ground. Restrooms: Located at the edge of the park and well kept. Picnic area: Lots of green space to set a lawn chair or grab a park bench. Also includes a small gazebo.
This park is wonderful for the residents of our Municipality who pay for its upkeep and benefits. However when the weekend comes we can't even find room to go down there. This is unfortunately because during COVID so many people who aren't from around here they are from the city found Bewdley and they overtake the park and area. We can't even find a parking spot, sadly this doesn't even benefit our local restaurants or stores .... They bring BBQ's, tents etc They just expect to use the washroom despite there being a public one and they leave their trash for the taxpayer to pay to dispose of. They do not know much about conservation either. "Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures". Sadly the lake winds up littered with their trash..... As does the village and sides of the roads leading into it. There should be a user fee imposed for parks, which likely could never be enforced. It's super sad and unfortunate we can't enjoy our own village when we reach the end of our workweek. In closing, this was a beautiful park, but is being destroyed by those who aren't paying taxes for its upkeep. As a local resident, a lot of us refuse to go downtown on the weekend.
Cute little park to visit! And great park for kids. I would say it's more of a fishing, boating and eating spot though. Also if you want to get a spot to have a picnic with family go early because it was pretty packed.
Scenic but quite small and limit of 2 hours parking.
Very nice quite stop to stop and fish kids cam play at park and amazing restaurants right on water and boat lunches
