Our family experience at Best Western Plus Saskatoon East Side was disappointing from the very first interaction.nnWe’re a family of 7 and booked our room over the phone, clearly stating our family size. We were told it was fine, then upon arrival we were told they could not accommodate our family in one room “for safety reasons.” Our oldest child is 12 and our youngest is 4 months old, and being told it was safer to split up small kids into another room made no sense. Thankfully grandparents were able to help, but this should have been communicated before we arrived.nnThe next morning, our 2 year old opened the microwave which was sitting almost on the floor and the glass tray fell onto the tile and shattered. I called the front desk and the first response was “there will likely be a charge for that.” I understood that, but my priority was getting help to clean up broken glass around small children.nnWhen staff came to clean it, they simply swept up the glass and left shards around the room. I went into the hallway to find someone to help vacuum properly, and the staff member didn’t understand what I was asking for. When I finally communicated it, I was told she was going on a coffee break and would come back after to handle it, while my 2 year old and 9 year old were still in the room.nnOverall, not a family friendly or safety focused experience. If you’re visiting Saskatoon with kids, there are likely much better options.
Overall a good experience. Room I was in was clean. I was facing wall of building next door with a bright spot light at night, but overall curtains blocked most of this. Breakfast was as expected and good/fresh.nLocation was close to a mall, and food if needed. Close to highways.nParking was difficult first night although they have parking; I was told the hotel was full
Really nice hotel from Best Western brand very modern clean lots of parking good size pool and hot tub which was nice to use.nThe room was spacious comfortable slept like a log only stayed one night but it was a nice stop and the city of Saskatoon very nice even though the air quality wasn't great due to the forest fires burning was a nice stop.nBreakfast was very good everything you need it's nice to see real silver ware and china.nAll in all a great experience look forward to going back.
Very clean, nice staff, quiet at night, comfortable bed, free breakfast, and a waterslide. If that's not good enough for you then you need to lower your standard! Lol! A great stay. 100% coming back here next visit. Greg&Kyla
A very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The is an included breakfast, the only complaint is there is not enough fruit. Just some apples. Would have like a banana.
