Beryl's Pepperpot

Wow, Beryl pepper pot offers authentic Jamaican food. I drove from Whitby to Ajax just to check them out. This little gem is hidden but what a surprise to find it offers such delicious food. I ordered curry goat, jerk chicken and fried snapper. The wait wasn't too long ever though fish is cooked to order. The meat was tender and flavourful. The portions were satisfactory, in fact I had left overs for the next day. The staff was courteous. I knew the food would have been great when I saw Jamaican customers lined up. If its not tasting like mama's food Jamaicans will not return. Price was reasonable, so well worth the drive. This will be my new Jamaican go to spot as there is nothing in Whitby.

I’m extremely disappointed. I got a bbq chicken I get home to eat it to taste that this chicken is not FRESH!!! People are not dumb I know what chicken from a day or 2 ago prepared taste like. This is the worst experience. I’m most likely will never be going back here. Sad to see how people really don’t care about what they put out

Just had their Oxtail meal and every bite was delicious and full of meat! Been coming here for years and its been awhile but they never disappoint even years later! Definitely will be back more often!

Looking for tasty authenic Jamaican /Caribbean food? Look no further then Beryl’s.nI've had the Stewed Chicken with Rice and Peas and coleslaw. I have also tried the curry goat, which is also good.nnIt is definitely a smaller location with no seating, but they do have a little ledge by window. It was difficult to locate as it is in an industrial plaza. The price is a little over the top with a small meal being close to 20 dollars, but if money isn't an issue, still grab something from here.nnI do recommend and would visit again.
