After years working as a wedding photographer's assistant in downtown Tampa Florida, I have had a lot of wedding cakes. So when I moved to Western Michigan and my own wedding day came around, I sampled all of what Kalamazoo and Battle Creek had to offer. I found that the wedding cake samples I had at Bert's were the absolute best. The buttercream is real butter and real cream. There was absolutly no sweetened lard taste, like you find in most bakeries. I knew Bert's was the best choice, and my wedding cake came out superbly delicious. UPDATE: I went back to Bert's and ordered a re-do of my Wedding Cake, boy was I disappointed. It tasted old and possibly frozen.The inside icing layers were meager at best. I wonder why it has gone so far downhill??

An absolutely horrible experience. The business is ran very poorly and the customer service is horrible.
