One of the oldest businesses still in Anchorage, Benny's Food Wagon first opened back in 1969 by Benny himself out of the same little truck.

Story

Operating out of the same little truck since 1969, Benny's is almost a trademark of anchorage. Opened by Benny himself back in 69, it stayed in the same location for many years across from the sears mall. Although Benny has passed away and the truck is in a new location (relatively speaking), it has always been run by family and relatives. It is currently owned and run by Olivia Barajas who is personally there everyday. All food is cooked from scratch everyday by her husband Francisco Barajas, and their son Brandon also works there after school.
It is kept open all year long, And although there have been a few small upgrades and remodels, the continuous friendly service and recipes have remained the same. That and of course the classic orange and mint color scheme.
Come by for the classics, or the more authentic daily specials. Whatever it may be, you are sure to enjoy every visit.
