Almost a month now with NO HOT WATER! And no action from the owner. A lot of machines are broken and will never get fixed going on 6 months now. They changed their hours on the weekends so they could 'improve', but I think it's just a ploy to pay their staff less hours. Oh, and when it rains there are buckets everywhere because the roof leaks. Some of the weights have rust on them because they are continually wet. Shame, it could be a really good gym, staff are friendly, unfortunately I would say go elsewhere.
Been going to this gym for the past few years, from when it was called Novita. I fell in love with the gym when I first started going, 24 hours, massive facility, great staff, everything you could want in a gym. I drove from Etobicoke to here because I enjoyed it so much. However since it became Benelife the gym has done a major nosedive and has gone way downhill. There was a point where the gym was closed down for almost 2 months to introduce their wellness center. The gym lost many members during this time, due to frustration and due to raising prices. Maybe they should have looked into perfecting the gym portion first I thought I would give them a chance however. Today I was disappointed with the way the gym was, leading me to write the review. The steam room has been down for months, dumbbells are all over the floor, the roof is leaking in multiple places, recently the whole staff changed due to complications, the shower wasn't cleaned for days as the same empty soap package was in the stall for almost a week, and half the cable machines are missing the weight pins. I'll continue going here until my membership runs out. But I've already scouted out my new place. Xtreme Couture. Hopefully management will straighten things up for their members. Cheers,
Where do I begin. While wealthy owner takes luxurious vacations, employees DON'T get paid. And when they do get paid LATE, their cheques REPEATEDLY BOUNCE! some staff haven't been paid for months!!! and still haven't to date! The owner remains completely unconcerned with the welfare of the staff and refuses to take ownership of her mistakes. By the time I am writing this review, there are over 21 reviews on google giving this place less than 2.2 starts. I extremely recommend to read the reviews of this place on glass door. The employees and ex employees shared a bunch of horror histories.
I bought a Groupon for three 45-minutes Salt Cave Sessions. My friend and I tried to go on a Saturday, but they were closed for renovation - yet there were no notice of closure online! A week ago, I tried to go back with my mother. The Salt Cave session was going to be a present for her.... She was very excited about it! I called ahead of time. However, the woman over the phone told me they have a new manager and they do not accept Groupon anymore! She was very rude and their decision was final: no more Groupon accepted. Told me to contact Groupon and get a refund..... Pffff! I had to contact Groupon and go through all their refunds policy to finally get my Groupon refund. Shameful! Very disappointed!
This place is horrible. They had hired my company to perform Janitorial servicing for them and they used my worker for 7 days over the Christmas holidays. After the 7 days, they decided to call me and tell me that they no longer require my services and that they promise to pay the invoice for the 7 days that we worked there for. It has been almost 2 months where i have been demanding pay and they still not have paid to date. Benelife Wellness has no sense of professionalism whatsoever! They completely disregard their clients. I would recommend for anyone NOT to go here as they do not care about anyone but themselves.
I read a lot of bad review, but I actually love this gym, it has everything you need and more, the space is great, with high ceiling, user and staff are friendly, to me this is one of the best gym I subscribe too, yes they could pay more attention to fix and replace stuff but I'm super happy with it
Wow, really Sorry to see this group gone. Pamela, Chuck, Megan and Elliot were loyal to building business with integrity and respect, making great headway towards a booming fitness/wellness centre. It seems the owner, Santina Calidonna and her entourage of fearful sheep, prey on good hearted and dedicated individuals who believe in her vision for good. It is apparent it will never come to life. With numerous teams and countless managers over the past couple years; It is clear Santina's business approach is vile, ruthless, self-absorbed, abusive and she does not care about anyone but herself and her pocket book. She is so afraid of others stealing from her; because she infact is the one taking and taking. No business she touches will survive, let alone thrive. She is nothing but a gangster! Your money is being siphoned to anywhere but her business. Stay as far away as you can!!
A dirty gym and ugly business practices. The owner Santina Calidonna doesn't pay her employees and thinks she can get away with it in this day and age!
Don't even know where to start. The place is falling apart and the men's room is absolutely disgusting. Working out here could be a hazard to your health! Don't even bother as there are so many other places to workout in. Sad because I used to come here all the time.
The best gym in that neighborhood. Clean and not over crowded. Open until midnight. However, little bit pricey...
