Beefside

My late father told me a story once when I was a kid. I said to him, "how does Beefside do so well dad? They don't look like much." My dad laughed and said "son, there were once two guys who wanted to open a great, fantastic roast beef restaurant but they weren't sure what would be the best location. So they took it slow. They travelled all around New England to different towns and communities and they would always ask the locals where you could get the best roast beef in town. All the places they visited has decent roast beef sandwiches except the Concord NH region. Because they couldn't find a good roast beef sandwich in the states capitol city - they decided to do something about it and thus Beefside was born. And has been a landmark ever since." Still to this day that weird steer/bull they have as their sign kinda creeps me out but there is no denying the quality of the food and people! Thank you.

On a road trip to Portland we got off the freeway looking for lunch without a clue where we were or what was around us. We found this place and decided to check it out. The beef brisket was really good with a modest smokey flavor and a nice amount of juiciness. The homemade BBQ sauce was a perfect companion to the brisket adding a hint of sweetness and a little more smoke flavor without overpowering the beefiness of the brisket. The beer fries were awesome as well. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have a really nice outdoor seating area as well.

Lobster roll roast beef sandwiches onion rings n much more. Great atmosphere good food n wonderful service. Highly recommended

This place is old school greatness at its finest. Fresh roast beef, roasted on site daily. No other beef compares. My favorite is the super giant with extra mayo and, bubba sauce. Jay, Bob, Junior, and Steve crank out fantastic sandwiches and entrees. Definitely one superb gem to frequent in Concord.

I've been a loyal customer of Beefside for over 2 decades, I find the food to be exceptional, the service is always great and prices are fair. This visit was no exception. I left very satisfied. My only complaint would be that with a very large customer base, they definitely need to expand.
