Beaverton Dental Works is state-of-the-art. They have the latest and best technology, a thoughtful, professional staff, and Dr. Afshar is better than the best dentist you've ever seen, guaranteed. He is technically savvy, yes. But he also possesses the sort of bedside manner one cannot learn- it is a gift. I came to him with a history of childhood dental trauma that kept me away from the dentist for unhealthy stretches of time since becoming an adult. He immediately put me at ease by empathizing with me, and educating me on how and why history would not repeat itself with him. I'm now able to go to see him without fear, and I take all three of my small children to him, too.

Dr. Afshar gets an A+ from me. Since childhood, I've always dreaded and avoided going to the dentist. Dr. Afshar has changed that! He is wonderful - he explains treatment plans thoroughly and in a way that's easy to understand, and he doesn't try to push unnecessary procedures or treatments. He is great with kids, too. In fact, both of my young children are regularly seen by him. My whole family loves Beaverton Dental Works!

Dr. Afshar is as kind and compassionate as he is an excellent dental professional. I value having my teeth, especially at my age, 68. I have had a number of dentists in my life and have been fortunate to have good and kind care. Dr. Afshar's practice has enabled me to continue a long tradition of very competent and compassionate care. He is a pleasure to talk with. The fact that he also skis, given my life time skiing, has only enhanced a great relationship. He is very good at "routine" care, but also more complicated care such as an implant. Dr. Afshar also knows when and who to refer when necessary. I am a retired mental health professional with a graduate degree and I think I can recognize a great provider. I recommend Dr. Afshar to anyone.
