My wife and I go here weekly for our "date." We loooove the breakfast food. And the pizza is top notch!!

Chicken and Dumpling soup and hamburger were delicious! Love the homemade pancakes too, banana walnut is a favorite!

We are located inside the Huron-Manistee National Forest, there are not many of anything from which to choose. The Bear's Den was a good tasting restaurant when we moved up here 20 years ago. Now, with all the updates and much more to offer, such as special orders, vegetarian dishes, most excellent pizza and liquor to boot, I would consider this a high end Ma + Pa Restaurant. The ambience is quaint and cozy. So are the owners, Peggy and Fred. They put all the frills in their fine cooking and service. Enjoy!

I make it a point to take M65 so I can stop here on my way to eat. Everything I have tried has been terrific. I get "to go" bread puddings to take back to my husband. For us to have dessert together. Servings are nice size. I can't eat it all, but I am small. I highly recommend to everyone.
