Bear Paw Resort & Campground

Wonderful family who owns this place. Clean cabins and the short-term campsites are really close to the lake. The little bar serves good pizza and burgers and is a family friendly country bar. Have Tax the dog sing Happy Birthday! FUN!

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The sites are well kept. Dog friendly (on leash/tie out). Bathrooms and showers were clean. Electric and sewer available. Laundry facilities available for seasonal stay folks. Very fair pricing on the lot, boat slip rental, firewood (nice big pieces, not the bundles of bark with a little wood you get at other places). There is a small bar/restaurant on site with a pool table and everyone we talked to raved about the homemade pizza (we didn't try it though). We enjoyed the craft brew selection (Spotted Cow!). The campground mascot, a dog named Taz, will even sing you happy birthday if it falls over your visit! The owners bought the grounds about 2 years ago and have been working hard to fix and update as needed. It shows! I'll definitely be back.

Loved our cabin! Awesome place to just relax and recharge yourself - Clean and very comfortable cabin with the best scenery, nestled right on the lake! Beautiful Lake Chetac has some of Wisconsin's best fishing! We had a fantastic week of fishing - perch, crappie, walleye, blue gill and sun fish. Night time we had some unbelievable star gazing - be sure to check it out! Day time we seen numerous bald eagles flying from one end of the lake to the next. Lots of bird watching! It was wonderful hearing all the birds communicate in the morning on the lake. Friendly, Friendly people- Great bloody Mary's ! Delicious homemade pizza! So very happy our pup could come too - Thanks Steve for everything June 26-July 2, 2016

Bear Paw Resort & Campground is amazing! It was one of the best times and the most fun we have ever had as a family, staying at a vacation resort and campground. This place has everything for kids and adults right there, in a clean, positive, and entertaining environment. Steve and Julie, the hosts, made us feel like we were part of their family. We are in charge of planning our next year's Family Reunion, and this is the perfect place. We are so thrilled that we found Bear Paw Resort & Campground, we've made it our annual summer "Go To" vacation spot.
