Beachfront at Wasaga Motel and Cottages

This maybe a motel style resort, however it deserves a higher rating then 2.5/5 stars. The quality of our suite was excellent, we comfortably fit 6 girls and were surprised to find a beautiful comfy orange couch we could all fit hang out on. Upon arrival they accommodated our 3 vehicles and overlooked the fact that we forgot to bring cash for the deposit. The best surprise was the washroom/shower. With 6 girls getting ready 2-3 times a day due to swimming, we were worried. However, we didn't run out of hot water all weekend! I mean boiling hot water came out every time. On top of that, there was a mirror, with an outlet in every room. We were very pleased and would definitely stay again!

Make no mistake this is a bare bones hotel that you would book just for proximity to the beach. If literally all you care about is a place to sleep that is close to the beach this motel is fine. I'll give credit where credit is due. The staff was friendly and the room was clean the AC functional and the location is great. There were however a few serious flaws with the room. First is there were some switches without covers (see pictures), and the ceiling light fixture was just a bulb sticking out of the ceiling. There were no side tables or even a chair to sit on so no where to store clothes or anything else. Only one overhead light, no table lamps so the options are super-bright or pitch black. No alarm clock in the room. No soap in the washroom. A TV was in the room but no cable or even an antenna so zero channels. Also an awkward parking lot. Anyway for $205 a night (high tourist season) i would expect more than student hostel level accommodations. Actually i have stayed in better equipped hostels for a fraction of the price. For the price of a night they could have gone to Ikea and picked up an end table and chair and some switch covers and the room would have been just fine. But again to showcase the positives of the place. Great Location, Clean, AC Works. Everything else.... needs some work.

Close to Beach. Beer and LMBO stores.... Has Wi-Fi.. And snack bar on premises....

Service is impeccable, the staff are great and very friendly. Lots of new renovations since last visit.
