We stayed in the ocean view room 1 night beginning of Aug. 2017 - the room had a very cozy inviting atmosphere and was clean.
I wish the chairs had been a bit more larger/comfortable at the table. The beds weren't that comfortable either, but we stayed there for the view and what a view we got - it was beautiful. The owner was so nice and helpful.

It is beautiful here, the owners are lovely, the room is a good size to accommodate 4 easily. The rooms are practical, for the environment. The showers are spacious. Very happy with our choice of accommodation.

We had an amazing time until Don decided to tell us via phone when we called back to rebook that we weren't welcome. Great way to kill your business by making false statements about your guests. Not to mention he hangs out with you half of the time. Lots of other beautiful places here, don't give this run down shack any more money.

If you are hiking or picking in the Valley and want a nice place to stay, this is it! We didn't see Pasty while there, but Don is just the loveliest host. He knows the area well and is great to chat with. My girlfriend and I stayed in two different rooms on two different nights and both were excellent. The beds are comfy there is coffee in the rooms for early mornings. They are modest and quaint and has the hometown feel of a family run business - which was just what we were looking for! The rooms also come with a visitors package and guide which can tell you a LOT about the area and includes the menus of restaurants, trails, adventures, pubs, and a history of the area. The motel overlooks the Minas Basin and so offers some amazing views and a full comprehension of the crazy tides in this part of the world. There are a few fire pits near the water and an outdoor pool if the salt water of the basin is not your thing. It is far enough from the lights of cities that star gazing is lovely at night and close enough to Grand Pre and Wolfville that if you want to go into town or to the wineries, it is less than 15 mins by car or taxi (16 bucks from Wolfville to the motel by taxi). Overall, I love this place and would return again!
