review date: september 3, 2024npurchase date: august 29, 2024nnthis will be a review for baseball town laval's BBT-L online store.nni was seeking skull caps and BBT-L came up in the google search. they had what i was looking for. i would have bought more colors of the same item if they had them in inventory.nnprice was on-par with other canadian retailers.nnone-star knocked off for having a good color selection of a variety of skull caps, but being sold out in almost all the colors.nnusing the website was straightforward and i appreciate how they offer a variety of shipping options with actual prices.nnBBT-L was good with providing order confirmation and shipping updates. the order was punched in thursday august 29 night and put on the road friday from quebec, with it reaching my hands tuesday sept 3 in ontario, the following week thru canada post.nnbottom line: i would use BBT-L again if i was in the market for athletic apparel and sporting goods. i would recommend BBT-L to others as well.
I have mixed feelings about this place. I even had left 5 start in the past.I genuinely enjoy coming here and will continue to visit occasionally. However, my recent experience purchasing a membership package has left me disappointed and frustrated.nMy son and I decided to invest in a package that included a membership card and unlimited batting at the cage, with the understanding that it would be valid for one year. To our surprise, the card expired after just two months. When I raised this issue with the manager, Ernesto, he insisted that he had informed me of the expiration date being February 28th. While I understand that I should have been more vigilant, it's discouraging to feel like my initial trust in the business was misplaced.nWhat's even more disheartening is that my son, 9 who had saved up his own money to contribute towards the membership, was deeply disappointed. It's upsetting to think that his hard-earned savings have essentially been taken advantage of. When I expressed my concerns to Ernesto, he responded in a dismissive and arrogant manner, essentially telling me tough luck because we had used the service a couple of times.i I was the only customer ever to complain about it.nOverall, I'm disillusioned by the management's lack of transparency and customer care. It isn't very pleasant to see a business prioritize short-term gains over the satisfaction and trust of its customers, especially when it involves taking advantage of a kid's savings.
Terrible customer service, over charged for shipping.
Expensive. You can literally find any product cheaper either in the brand's website or other stores even then I've bought more expensive things in general just for the convenience of having it right away but the customer service in this place is horrible. It makes this very hard to do. The people working at the hitting cage register are awful. They tried forcing my kid used their dirty helmet just to go in. Once I tried to get in with my 5 year old to give him tips of his batting stance just for a second and they made a huge deal about it, they make what should be a nice outing with your family into a very bad experience Laval store. Fortunately, we have many more baseball stores and hitting cages like grand chelem, l'entrepôt de baseball among others. Even if those stores might be a bit farther that this store in laval at least you will save yourself from the aggravation of dealing with these people and turning a fun day with your family into arguing with some guy with a bad attitude.
Horrible customer service. This is my second time purchasing from this store and will definitely be my last. Both times I was there the people were rude. When I contacted management to further my case they were even more rude and unhelpful. I wish I could give 0 stars. not worth your time or effort. stay away!!
