I do not like to post negative reviews on small town restaurants. I am show it is family run and do neot want them to lose business but, my experience tonight was awful.
Ordered the Fish and Chips with a Hot Chocolate as it was very cold outside.
The Hot Chocolate was anything but hot.
The Fish tasted very wet and soggy. Worst fish I have tasted in over half a century.
Also waited almost an hour for our food.
On the plus side the fries were good.
But definitely not worth the price !

Passing through town, this looked like a comfortable place to stop for a bite. Since it was a pub, I asked about local or craft beer and I was given the choice of Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Canadian....not really what I had in mind, but no big deal. Seafood platter special sounded good - shrimp, scallop, fish with rice. My meal showed up with shrimps (breaded and grilled), two small pieces of fish (mostly batter) and a big pile of fries. No scallop, no rice. A bit disappointing.

Really nice back room overlooking deer Creek. The staff is nice and welcoming and the country music was just perfect for our Sunday afternoon lunch. I would highly recommend a lunch or a drink in this cozy pub if you're passing through Madoc.

Went there for dinner two nights in a row. Foood seemed great until the second night I has the Classic burger with a casear salad and got bad food poisoning from it!! Absoloutely traumatized. Doublecheck your expiration dates and make sure food is cooked. Will not go here again!!

Actually really great. Came off the highway because of the good reviews online and we weren't disappointed. Club sandwich was delicious. Server (forgot her name) was very nice!
