I recently visited the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Birchmount, and it was such a beautiful experience! The temple is stunning, with intricate carvings and a serene, peaceful vibe that immediately puts you at ease. The architecture is just breathtaking- hand-carved marble and woodwork that reflect traditional Indian artistry.nInside, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Highly recommend taking the time to visit and soak in the beauty!
This is a beautiful, serene, great temple.nYou can sit here and connect with God. No rushing, no pushing, not too crowded.nTake a maala, and say Jay Swaminarayan at each bead.nTake the holy water cup already provided, and you can do Abhishek pour holy water on statue.nIt is cleansing of our soul.nYou can take bus 17 from Warden Station line 2.nOr you can walk from Ellesmere and Birchmount intersection. So peaceful and quiet. I’ve been to a lot of mandirs in Scarborough. This is definitely my favourite.
The temple is smaller than the one in Etobicoke but very clean and beautifully maintained. I am not a regular, but they welcomed me warmly. The idols of gods are stunning. Pious environment with vegetarian snacks available. Good community experience. There are specific timings for visiting, closed for few hours in the afternoon. Recommended to check before visiting as they are open for whole day on festivals.
