Bantam Pizza & Restaurant

Up in the northwest corner of the state in Litchfield County holds this hidden gem. It’s been ages since I’ve been here and I practically grew up here and Gooseboro’s as a kid Cozy Hills Campground. Bantam Pizza has been here since..well..since I can remember.nnParking - Plenty of it, and there’s a good number of handicap spaces.nnFood - Pizza was on point and delicious. Normally..I like my pizza to be doughy and not have that crunch..but their pizza has that crunch but it also falls apart if and when you cut into it so it’s got that perfect texture. I got the Bantam Special but with no fish…I hate anchovies. Crust was a little hard..but it’s okay, I don’t usually eat the crust anyway, even on a doughy pizza…unless it’s stuffed. Soda came out in a can…so no fountain drinks.nnService - Friendly, fast, efficient and always came to see if I needed anything more and how I was doing. She seemed impressed that I ate the whole thing..but it was a small pizza..so of course, I can and will eat it all…especially if it’s good..otherwise it’ll go in the fridge for a week and I’ll forget about it.nnOverall…definitely a 5* visit and will return. Menu has changed a bit as far as pricing goes compared to what they show so this is the updated menu.

Great pizza. Beyond great. Ordered a gyro to go. Lamb was like jerky. No dill or cucumber in the sauce. And it was like a paste sauce.

Not a very good crust. Not crisp. No yeast bubbles; looks like the dough was not given a chance to rise. Toppings were average. Meh...nNo disrespect intended but just average pizza.

This place is unreal I called at 830 pm on a Thursday night now keep in mind there web site says closes at 9pm , and get this they said we are slow and tired so we closing early they can’t make a pizza at 830 at night omg what a bunch of lazy people . Wth is going on with this world. Must be nice to be rich and close and open when ever the mood strikes you !!!

everytime i come here i have to thank god. everybody is kind and caring. don’t even get me started on this pizza. this pizza is without a doubt the best food i have ever eaten everytime. if you don’t go here you are missing out.
