Banh Cuon Phu Lam

Best option for banh cuon in the city and as close as it gets to the authentic/traditional rolls that you find in Vietnam. It's really great to see more diverse breakfast options like Lang Cao, especially when you're craving something different on those weekend mornings. What makes this amazing is that they can do it for less than $9 a person and even less than $5/person for vegetarian options! Vegetarian options: 2 out of 3 of their rolls are meatless Kid-friendliness: Kids could be entertained by watching the kitchen/machines in action from outside. Parking: Lots of parking at the Ben Thanh-inspired shopping center. Can park right in front of the business. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or ramps. Entrance is 2 meters away from parking.

I’ve been looking for a place that offers bánh coûn steamed rice flour crepe and finally found this place shortly after they opened up shop. I’ve had it a couple of times since and WOW! The quality has been consistently really good and you can tell that it’s freshly made because the of the soft and pliable texture and they were still warm each time I got them. There is usually a coating of oil applied to prevent the rolls from sticking together and I really like that they make it with only a very light, hardly noticeable, coating. I’ve had both the ones that are stuffed with ground pork and black wood ear mushrooms and the more recent offering with added chopped shrimp. Both varieties are very tasty and authentic. I shared a 1kg clamshell container with my wife and it more than filled us up. They provide sauce and fried onions. They also sell the Vietnamese ham gio which compliments the dish nicely and provides added protein. I’m definitely going to be a regular customer!!!

Only 3 reviews to date? Go here, buy massive amounts, amazing food. This store has no presence. HOWEVER... The Banh Cuon from here is off the charts. The customer service is also very friendly here. The food brings me back to Vietnam, among the most authentic taste and texture I've had worldwide.
