Pretty good food overall. The rice dish was really good with the ground beef. The fish cakes and the shrimp chips were more meh and I would not recommend getting them. Still, this is a pretty good Thai place for the location and has food that most other places don’t have. Hence wanted to give 5 stars as this is in Brooklin and not Bangkok.
The first time we had Bangrak was 2 years ago, the taste of their food is very good and authentic. The issue even from 2 years ago is portion size. The photos shown is exactly what we got after removing the lid., this is quite unacceptable given the prices of these dishes. The container is 20% empty! Wok in express down the street fills every container up like every other take out place. All I have to say is, charge enough and give your customers 100% of the product, let them decide if its worth it instead of skimping on the portion.
One of the best places for Thai food in Durham region. The food here is pretty authentic and was made really fresh. We got the fried rice, noodles and the green Thai curry. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were really fair. Might be a bit pricey but worth it. Will surely be back to try something else on the menu.
We decided to try a new Thai spot and I wasn’t super impressed. The green curry was pretty good but I found the pad Thai really bland. There was not much flavor at all. I would try another dish but definitely wouldn’t be ordering the pad Thai again.
I have tried so many Thai food in GTA. I can assure this is one of the best ones. So rich in flavor and color with great size portion for take out. Price is fair and the staff super nice and friendly. Love it and I super recommend!
My sister and I came here on a whim and we are so glad we did! The food was so flavourful and high quality. I got the Pad See Ew and my sister got the Pad Thai and we got a side of coconut rice and peanut sauce. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly and they accommodated gluten free easily. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and we were served quickly by the owner who was very kind. This place is a new go to for sure!
We love Thai food and haven’t found anything in the area that hits the spot in terms of flavour, quality ingredients and options. Bangrak changed that. This is one of the best Thai restos we’ve been too, on par with downtown Thai places. Our first experience was take away, second time was eating in. Both were excellent. Would definitely recommend. The service is great and staff are friendly.
Never had pineapple rice before. So delicious. The onions were perfectly sautéed with crunch. Onions are often over cooked so this was a nice treat. Cashew chicken meal was very good too. Takeout service super quick. Will definitely be back.
AMAZING!!!! BEST Thai food in Durham region, without question !!! Food is fantastic - very tasty, fresh and authentic. Great service and ambience too. Don't miss the chicken satay, the papaya salad and the rice selections. We loved it so much that we went back again the same week - really, really good.
Pad Thai was pretty bland. Green curry was watery. I’m not looking for a thick sauce but this was similar to a thin coconut green soup. The beef slices in the curry were so dry and tough. The only other item in the green curry was bamboo shoots. Shrimp chips were decent. unfortunately it wasn’t very delicious.
