Good spot for a very casual family lunch. Standard pub fare, good selection of draft beer on tap with rotating specials. Had smash burgers sadly the fried chicken sandwiches were sold out and 3 kids shared an adult chicken fingers and one kids burger - more than enough for them. High chairs available. Good atmosphere. Will visit again
Despite arriving close to closing time after a long day at the Cranberry Festival, our two families were warmly welcomed. The food and service were great, and the owner went above and beyond by bringing out Halloween candies when they were out of desserts to celebrate our friend’s birthday. A must-visit spot when you're in Bala, Ontario’s cranberry capital!
Hidden gem, amazing food, quiet little town, and absolutely scenic.nFish and chips are a must try.nBeef burger and the dark beeron the house are an absolute combo.nBruschetta is an amazing flavourful appetizer.
While on a getaway away from the city, my girl and I decided to have brunch here. The fish and chips were an absolute delight that exceeded my expectations. The crispy batter encasing the tender fish was perfection, and I can't wait to come back for another serving.nnThe drinks were also a pleasant surprise. The blue raspberry lemonade was refreshingly sweet, and the margarita had that extra zing that made it better than average.nnThe appetizers were equally impressive. The bruschetta was a burst of freshness with tomatoes that tasted like they were plucked straight from the garden.nnAnd the mixed salad with balsamic dressing was a symphony of flavors - the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Overall, this little restaurant left me with a memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return for more of those fantastic fish and chips along with the well-seasoned fries!
Went for dinner there last night and sat outside by the water. It was gorgeous and nice and cool. The waitresses were nice, but weren't busy so service seemed slower.nnThe food was good. Husband got the supreme burger which he really enjoyed but the patty was quite thin, however, the amount of fries did fill him.nnI got the black bean burger with guacamole, the patty was very dry and crunchy... But with the guacamole and feta and tomato it seemed to work as it added a nice sauce and moisture. Again, the fries were half the plate but overall was quite good.nnThe price was alright. For two ciders it was $10.00 each, can't remember what the supreme was but the veggie burger which you can make vegan by not adding the feta cheese was $21. So we easily spent with tip $70.00 for the both of us.
