Joanne's BBQ House

Joanne‘s barbeque house is a great location for me, as my place of employment is just a three minute walk away. This is part of the reason I chose to give them a try. So I ordered for pick up. Online ordering was amazing and simple. I ordered two crispy burgers, fries and gravy for lunch for me and my husband. Food was ready to pick up when they said it would be ready.The burger patties tasted crunchy, beefy , and juicy on the inside. Burger toppings were fresh and generous. One order of fries was plenty for the both of us, they were Flavourful, super crispy yet juicy with oil. The gravy was generous, a bit lumpy. Minimal packaging, which is nice. Didn’t need the extra ketchup that was packed in the bag. We both were very saturated with this meal. Hus band was especially impressed with the quality of the meat patty and how satisfied it made him feel.

What a great find on the West Side. You can really see that someone is putting a lot of love and care into every meal. The food is outstanding. The brisket is well cooked and fall apart juicy. The rice and cornbread were delicious. I could barely finish all the food.

Been here twice now and I will say the food is very good for the price and for that alone I would recommend. I've tried the pork belly, 1/4 chicken, and poutine. Pork belly is awesome but if you don't like fat, don't get it. Chicken is also quite good and has unique flavor. Poutine is has awesome flavor but mine was a little cold. I'd give it the full 5 stars but the service is kind of awkward... Some smiles and enthusiasm would go a long way! It would also be cool if some of the weekend all-you-can eat items like squid were available throughout the week but I understand that may be due to product have low shelf life or something.

I learned about this place from CTV Edmonton. I ordered the pork belly lunch and it didn’t disappoint. So tasty. The side salad of cukes, tomatoes, and mango with a light vinaigrette was very refreshing. The side sauce was very slightly sweet and went with the pork perfectly. The java rice tasted so good with the toasted garlic topping. And finally, the pork belly was roasted with a crispy-popped skin and tender, seasoned lean meat with just a little ribbon of fat. I highly recommend this meal. I’ll definitely go back. Can’t wait to try their crispburgers. UPDATE: 04-Jul-2020 I did go back for a double bacon cheese crisp burger. WOW. So tasty!!! And huge! I highly recommend it. Bring your appetite for sure :. Kudos to Joanne and her hubs Joey for great food and great service!

The best pork belly roast and roasted chicken in Edmonton , no one can beat that . Hmmm yum yum . My personal favorite is the Jack Attack burger and tokwa't baboy. The place is very clean , very good customer service , Joanne and her staff are doing a very great job. Food is affordable. Highly recommended. Keep it up .

It takes a long time for them to cook food. The food is not great at all. I would rather buy somewhere else just to satisfy my cravings.

The burgers were amazing - homemade, never frozen and absolutely delicious!

One my favourite place for smash style burgers! From crispy to super juicy. Double cheese is what I recommend for any burger lover. Haven't tried their BBQ items but will definitely be next.

DISAPPOINTED. We saw a facebook post about Joanne's BBQ House beef brisket so we were very eager to try it! We ordered 2 servings and were quite disappointed w/ what they've called it "good portion" for a serving. It wasn't what we expected it to be for an $18-$19 price range. There were more sides than the brisket. Also, brisket fats weren't trimmed were way too thick & greasy. Taste wise, I would say it was 'just okay'. There is another place that offers a better portion of beef brisket & also with sides for the price of $14-$15. Staff were really nice tho but it's probably our first and last visit. What you see in photos is definitely not what you get. Should definitely change the photo posted on facebook and show the actual size portions! Sorry I dont usually write bad reviews but I probably just expected more for the price.
