Super cute and busy coffee shop with great pastries and coffee options. The French almond croissant was incredible! My daughter had the cinnamon bun coffee and really enjoyed it. I had an iced latte with lavender, vanilla, and honey with less ginger than normal honey and almond milk name: bee's something and it was good. I would like to try it hot next time. The employees were so kind and patient as I navigated the menu.

Our party of 7 was delighted by the ambiance of this coffee shop! The shop boasted beautiful baked goods & gluten free options separate from the gluten filled options, which as ceileac I appreciate. Beverages to accommodate a variety of dietary needs: sugar free, caffeine free, dairy free, etc. I'd give them 5 stars for clean, cute, delicious and kind. Even during a busy time the staff worked diligently with peace & kindness, which we don't always get in our big city coffee shops. Upon leaving I spoke with a Hayward local who was enjoying her beverage at the outside seating & she gave a raving review of this wonderful shop & the history in Hayward. This is a must try! I'll have to add it to another of my Google lists, so I visit again! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free baked goods, dairy free beverages.

A wonderful local coffee spot. Large menu and high quality coffee. Recently expanded their indoor space and have lots of warm seating to enjoy. Large selection of coffee beans to take home. Bakery and some warm lunch foods like sandwiches. Great place to stop when getting off the trails!

The place had a very interesting interior decor. The coffee varieties were excellent. They also had some some unique baked goods, both sweet and sandwich style. Well worth the visit. I had the Kolache Ham Egg and Cheese hot sandwich. It was quite tasty. They had some interesting seating areas inside.Food: 5/5

This is a beautiful place ! Lovely atmosphere and the barista s are totally amazing ! I love them all and they make the best coffee! I had a sugar free vanilla breve and I absolutely love it ! This is my happy place .

Best place in town for coffee and fresh food. I love the flavor of the latte I always get and the food is delicious. Always friendly and helpful staff as well. Definitely recommend!

I have enjoyed being thoughtfully entertained while thinking of the dietary nutrients I digest. The Backroad's bakery is good and the Backroad's breakfast meals are good, know that I recently I have not adventured beyond the Carrot Cup Cakes. I have again also been recently taste testing coffee drinks and the Backroad's coffee drinks also are good. Dietary restrictions: I think I am going to lighten the color tone I digest after embracing the mocha dietary nutrients, know though the mocha is good.

Excellent coffee. Terrific, cozy setting. Easily the best coffee shop around. Authentic to the area. I had the dark chocolate mocha. It was amazing. Nice place to come and work too.

Went on Sunday and the Kitchen is not open. Repeat if you go on SUNDAY DO NOT EXPECT TO ORDER FOOD.
