Ordered the gyudon. It was delicious but the problem was that most of the container was rice. Beef was very sparse, as were the other toppings. Picture is taken after already about half of the remaining rice was eaten mainly to fill up. I’ll prob try one more time but unless ratio is better, it’ll be hard to keep coming back.
Ordered today spicy salmon and spicy crab roll. Also a mango salad. The sushi is 100 out of 10. Very tasty, fresh and delicious. The mango salad is a -100 out of 10. This is a soggy mess of iceberg lettuce, pieces of carrots, 4 pieces of very thin soggy mango and the worst tasting mango sauce on top. I can’t believe I just wasted 10.80 on this mess. This should be off the menu or the chefs need to re- vamp this. I could not eat the rest and just threw this in the garbage. Don’t waste your money and tastebuds on the mango salad.
This place has a really nice setting inside. Good spot to take your partner out. Food was excellent and staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will deebe coming back. Thanks Azumi Sushi for a great experience.
We’ve been ordering from Azumi for years and the quality has always been consistent. Generally we’ve done take out and almost always go with a sushi platter reasonably priced + always so fresh Their fried udon is also a dish with great flavour and you can never go wrong with edamame. We’ll be back - and if you’re on the fence about visiting here, get off the fence and enjoy some delicious sushi.
Really disappointed recently with the quality of the food here! I ordered some veggie options: the cucumber and avocado roll is good, the stir fried veggies were very disappointing too much bean sprout and the tempura was a bit too soggy. Hoping to see the quality improve again as we’ve ordered from here often. My last order had the tofu which was also oily... On the good side, the takeout is very quick about 30 mins max and the service is very friendly!
Pleasant staff, always friendly. Food is decent, nice cuts, many varieties of sushi to choose from plus an assortment of bento, and hot/cold dishes. Decently priced. No all you can eat. There is plenty of parking outside, but the lot is a bit crowded.
I am not too adventurous but I love salmon. I have eaten salmon from all sorts of other places and I have not found salmon as fresh and as of high quality as Azumi's at Port Union and Lawrence. I would not call the "Salmon Lover" cheap at $18 but I don't want cheap. Comparing price vs quality to grocery store offerings it is really good value. Look at the pictures closely, the salmon is full of fat tasty and almost transparent. My five star rating is based on this one dish only. Note: I have eaten some of the food before the pictures were taken. It was presented better than shown.
Service at this place was awesome and not rushed. Me and wife got the all you can eat. As i wanna try everything on the menu. Sushi was fresh and came out in a timely manner. Fruits and sauces were on point. Will definitely go to Azumi sushi again.
We can here as a recommendation. The day we came was not busy. Which is surprising for a sushi place on the weekend. The staff that served us were on top of use from the moment we came in. The menus that they offer is all you can eat as well as Al a cart. We ate from the all you can eat menu. It's a smaller menu compared to most all you can eat restaurants, but the food is just as good. Price is around 25.00 for the weekend from 1 person. The downside was all the rice that is packed into the rolls I thought it was a little too much rice, as I was full right after our first serving. The second thing is once we got the bill there was a tip already applied to the bill, we only had 3 of us at the table, so I know most places will. Automatically apply a tip of it's more than 8people.
A place like this in North York would easily be double the price. Quality sushi, low cost, decently sized portions and friendly service. My family and I really enjoyed our bento box lunches and sashimi assortment. Truly a hidden gem. We'll def be back. :
