I had ordered the food and it was good so I took some friends there for dinner. I ordered a take out again and it was delicious as the first time I had ordered. We had ordered the papaya & mango salad, veg fried rice, Pineapple fried rice, Sticky rice with mango, and Thai noodles and everything was great. It is a small restaurant, with few tables. It is very busy place with the take out. I would definitely order the food again.
Incredible Pad Thai! The taste is simply delicious. The portion size, protein amount and also the quality of ingredients was exceptional. The customer service here is also very good, alongside the indoor furnishing of the restaurant. Unlike a lot of places where padthai is drained in oil, this wasn't the case, it was not oily at all and very good. I got takeout here, but I would love to drop by and eat here again.
love Thai food a lot but it’s hard to find a good and authentic Thai restaurant in Durham. Accidentally found this place, eureka!! Thai chef, staff, music, interior..they got EVERYTHING about Thai. And of course delicious. To me little salty, so I humbly asked for less salty they immediately listen and cooked perfectly balanced what I wanted. Thank you and very glad to meet all of the Ayothaya crews!
Picked green curry and pad thai. Requested Thai Spicy, got one! Next time going for just spicy. Simply loved every bite of food, even with running nose because of Thai Spicy. Cute place, definitely coming back for dine-in! I am so glad and happy to have found this excellent Thai place near me :
Finally authentic Thai food in Durham region. While I have eaten Thai food in Thailand and I’m downtown Toronto Pai, Suko Thai and Khao san road, i can most certainly say this is pretty much up there. Service was excellent, the servers were friendly and kind. Place was clean but it’s a little small for very large groups. Food was simply amazing. Must order: - Tom yum soup with shrimp - Fish cakes - pad ka prow pork, ordered Thai spicy - green curry - ordered spicy - mango sticky rice dessert Make sure to keep room for dessert. If you like your Thai food to be made authentic then this is the place to visit. Also if you like your Thai food spicy, they cater to your tastes. Certainly a place I will be going back to numerous times since I love good Thai food.
Just tried this place and this is the best Thai I have had in a long time. The tom yum soup was delicious and flavourful. The red curry had the right amount of spice and it was also very tasty. We also a noodle dish and a papaya salad which were also amazing. Basically, we ordered four dishes and they were all great. If you love Thai food then I highly recommend this place.
Visited Ayothaya for an early dinner and enjoyed four very authentic Thai dishes - we ordered the papaya salad spicy to start and then the penang chicken curry a bit on the sweet side but still delicious, steam rice and pad see ew for the mains. The flavours were aromatic and very authentic. Special mention goes out to the green papaya salad that had the right balance of spicy, savoury and sweet - a must try dish. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice which comes with half a ripe manago over sticky rice and a savory/sweet coconut milk sauce. We all liked the dessert but all the rice made it a bit heavy as the close out to an awesome meal. Though don't let that stop you from trying the dessert. Service was pleasant and the food was served at the right pace - we were a table of three. The one area that the restaurant falls down on us atmosphere - the heating in the restaurant was non-existent and they had to add two space heaters in the center of the room to warm patrons up. Given how busy the restaurant is for dine-in and pick-up the doors are constantly opened and shut - so there is no chance of the restaurant warming up if the heating is left low or not put on. This definitely affects the overall dining experience and would be the only area the place falls down on. I recommend this restaurant for an authentic Thai experience in Oshawa.
Dined in here the other day with some friends for the first time. Food was good! Spring rolls were tasty and the Pineapple fried rice was delish!!! Only complaint I had was there was way too much tamarind sauce on the Pad Thai. I order this often when I go places and I was unable to eat this one from here as it was too over powering for me. I will be back...just not for the pad Thai.
Love the food here, so tasty! Ingredients are freshly prepared. My favorites are Tom Yum soup, PAD SEE EW and Mango Sticky Rice. Thai Ice Tea... Yum! Ayothaya is a cozy and friendly resturant, feel free to tell how you'd like your food to be done. I'm coming back next week :D
10/10 amazing food and customer service. Everything was delicious. The owner told us he moved to Canada from Thailand 4 years ago and started his restaurant here couple of months ago. Everything they serve is authentic Thai. Will definitely be back to support this amazing business.
