What a hidden gem of a restaurant! We went for the summerlicious event, and we were blown away what we got for $27. The ingredients quality were top notch and the flavours were fantastic! And the portions were super impressive! The server was also super attentive and friendly, as was the owner. Would HIGHLY recommend!
It’s a very homey place. Atmosphere is great. The service is exceptional. I loved the concept that highlights immigrant food. The food however, it’s not as tasty as expected. The calamari were delicious, the beef was also great. But the pasta was pretty simple and the baba ganoush wasn’t my favorite.Recommended dishesCalamari
Went for their Winterlicious menu with my mom, the food was amazing! Great flavour, good portion served, really great atmosphere. I had the Scandinavian potato salad to start, mom had butternut squash soup, both were fantastic! We had the tagine and the steak sandwich and then the peanut butter bar for dessert.Food: 5/5
Pleasantly surprised by how great the ambiance and food are at Aviv! Look no further if you're in the mood for Mediterranean eats. I had several dishes including appetizers - grilled octopus salad, kale & quinoa salad, babaganoush eggplant dip with pita and hummus with pita; & entrees - salmon, linguini etc. Everything tasted great but I especially recommend the grilled octopus, babaganoush and salmon dish - the latter being an off menu special. Portions are perfect if you're getting apps before entree. I really wish I had room for dessert - they have an in house pastry chef so they're freshly made. I sat with my friends inside the restaurant but it has a large open front which is appreciated in nice weather. The interior design is very well put together - very pink and aesthetic. Service was great and even the owner was kind and super friendly to all the customers including my group. This resto is moderately pricey but the food quality is truly worth the splurge. Next time I definitely want to dine in their back patio and try a dessert.
Went here with my girls. Love the vibe and atmosphere. Service were superb and food was fresh and seasoned well. We did family style so we ordered the fried calamari and baba ganoush for starter. For main course, we ordered the pork ribs, seafood pasta, steak forgot to take pics, we were stuffed. Also the bartender makes great cocktails. Definitely recommend this place and will come back during the summer for patio season
While in the area for the Garlic Festival we stumbled upon this quaint, well designed, comfortable and cozy restaurant for brunch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile with forever friendly staff. The restaurant is bright cheerful and makes for a lovely intimate meal or fun gathering with friends. The menu has a wide variety of items for all palates. I had the Shashuka and it was delicious. The bread was fresh, the sauce was thick tasty, warmly sooced and served in a wrought iron pan that kept it warm until my last bite! I highly recommend. The portions are generous and great value. Maria was welcoming, very personable and made us feel at home. I will definitely keep Aviv on my go-to spots when I'm in the area. For accessibility, the entrance is wide and doors open with a very small step. A very sweet spot for all. Wheelchair accessibility: Washroom in basement.
Really nice place for brunch. Lovely ambience, loved our shakshuka and the baba ghanoush. The bread was freshly made, crispy on the top and soft in the middle. Great customer service from the waitresses and got to meet the lovely owner. A nice place really to chill out on the weekend. Coming back to try their dinner menu! Bianca
If you haven't been here, you're missing out. Run by two of the most caring and committed individuals you'll ever meet, this restaurant bursts with good food and happy energy. The menu is packed with Middle Eastern fan favourites with a modern touch. Some of My favs include the brisket, the hummus and Baba ghanoush, the Gnocchi, tenderloin... and honestly everything. Great for a date night, family meal and a bottle between friends. Enjoy! Vegetarian options: Invkhdes ghnnoci and vegetarian pie
Cute, nicely decorated, spacious, very clean, very nice service, sadly, food so so, especially the portions were too small. The plates look cute as they arrange the food and is appealing to the eye yet, not great seasoning either. We won’t go back.
Aviv has great Mediterranean food and a family friendly restaurant with a kids menu. I really enjoyed the double fried fries and sweet potato fries. They come with a really great aïoli. My sister really liked the brisket but my mom got the same dish and said that her’s was dry. My brother-in-law‘s chicken was dry as well. The highlight of the night for me it was the chocolate mousse dessert which I really enjoyed. Service was great as well.
