Helena gave me the best highlights I’ve ever had. They were meticulously done, nice and fine so it didn’t look striped, and great coverage. She also corrected a bad haircut I’d recently had from another salon and didn’t even charge me for it. She’s perfect and I’ll be back-even taking a ferry ride from Vancouver to see her again.Service: Hairstyling
Went into the salon for the first time… always nerve wracking! Had a full bleach, tone and short hair cut done by Helena… FABULOUS! I’ve got thick sghort hair so always a challenge, and always on pins and needles until it’s done. Just thrilled with how beautifully it turned out!Service: Hairstyling
I asked for an ombre look and she gave me highlights that didn't even last 4 days. One wash and it was brown I used all the products I was suppose to. I dye everyone I knows hair So I know all the techniques. Def not worth 350 bucks I paid for it I just got sick of being in that chair so I didn't ask her to correct it

Great experience. Just got a long overdue haircut. Didn’t go in with a style in mind. Stylist, Diane, was super friendly, listened and made recommendation. Super happy with results!
This place is massive! The kitchen, living room including tv and bathroom are shared with other guests. We visited as the only bookings that night so we had the place to ourselves. It has everything you could dream of using in the kitchen, a kettle, microwave, oven and stovetop, large fridge. In the fridge we found condiments and creamer. It's also beautifully decorated, it feels like a home. They have a telescope to try out as well as some books lying around. The owners are lovely and accommodating. As other visitors have mentioned, it hasn't been sound proofed at all. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as you can hear every step made by the owners upstairs. The owners aren't noisy by any means but they do wake up before 7am, so late risers also beware. Overall an amazing experience. The first thing I thought when we walked in was, we could bake a pie here! : hope this review comes in handy for someone.
I seriously cannot say enough good things about the quality of the service I get and the kindness I am shown by everyone who works at Eco Chic. I have been buying all of my products, getting my hair dyed, cut and styled at Eco Chic for almost 6 years now. I’ve had my hair done by just about everyone who works here but I usually see Helena or Maddy, they are both incredible. Helena is an artist, her cuts are literally perfect! She was the first to ever dye my virgin hair and she once, so patiently, spent hours giving my daughter her dream-hair, delicate pink, purple and blue streaks. Maddy is very neat when she dyes my hair, I never walk out with stains on my skin. She recently gave me my first ever round-brush-blow-out and I am quite sure that my hair has never looked better, I wish I could get it done by her every week! Something that really sets this salon apart is the way they treat people. I have a disability which sometimes causes mobility issues, because of this, there have been times that I have had to cancel last minute. They have always been understanding, I have never had to deal with anyone being upset with me about it. I strongly recommend these incredible ladies!
I have had Helena several times as a stylist and she never disappoints. Today she touched up my roots, applied a gloss and cut my hair. She is very professional, is very knowledgeable of their products, and recommended some products for my hair type long, coarse, dry hair. She also gave me a lovely scalp massage after washing my hair, and massaged my arms. She went above and beyond! I felt very pampered. Definitely book your next apt at Aveda with Helena :
