My husband and I were looking for bed and breakfasts to stay in during our visit to Banff and Jasper, Canada for a second, some-what impromptu, honeymoon 3 days before we were supposed to leave. I had called several places that were already completely booked when I came across The Austrian Haven which had high ratings and had a vacancy. You never know what you are going to get when you book something so close to your arrival date and especially with a bed and breakfast, but my husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this place. The room was large, quaint and with a beautiful breakfast nook that had an amazing view of the Canadian Rockies as we sat and ate our breakfasts! Annelies is also the ultimate superwoman hostess! She immediately made us feel at home and her quick wit was so surprising and really fun! We were there mainly to hike, and since we did not have a lot of time to plan our trip, didn’t know where to go. Annelies had the best suggestions on where to go, what to avoid and in which order to do the advised activities. We even spent one evening out to dinner and shopping with her. She had so much fun showing us the town and we enjoyed basking in her energy and benefiting from her knowledge of the town. Staying with Annelies was honestly our favorite part of the whole trip. We highly recommend the Austrian Haven if you are looking for a charming bed and breakfast with a vibrant caretaker who will happily guide you in your travels and your stay! Thank you Annelies, for everything!

i had a wonderful time staying with the host. The room was spacious and well-equipped. the host was very kind and helpful. i enjoyed the time of staying there
