Aubergine Kitchen and Bar

Randomly walked into this restaurant and the expwrience was absolutely delightful. Service was good and so was the food. Big portion sizes. I ordered a salmon and it didn't seem like the freshest catch. For the price I thought that was a bummer. Other than that the placs is really good.

Went in for a late Sunday lunch and had a great time. Good selection of drinks including local craft beer. Had the Aubergine special appetizer that was delicious, a great blend of flavours. I was impressed by the great selection of traditional Mediterranean dishes and ordered the Mousaka. It was very tasty and everything was served fresh and hot. Aubergine is one of the best Newmarket restaurants on Main street and I would recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to go back!

Such a great, cozy atmosphere! Incredible food. We could tell they take great pride in what they do. We had a reservation of 8, and got great wine pairing recommendations, friendly service and the food was absolutely delicious. We really appreciated how much our server engaged with us! We had an awesome evening! Highly recommend, especially for those with dietary requirements. They kept it vegan for me : Thank you!

We have never been to Aubergine but my husband and I decided to give it a try as their review noted vegetarian and vegan which we areoptions although they have a very diverse menu even for meat eaters. The owner was wonderful talking to us about how all items are made fresh and by hand..and you could absolutely tell when you took every bite. The open patio was also a treat right on Main street in Newmarket. The portions were a very good size and the Sangria was amazing too. Everything was delicious and we will be return patrons for sure.

A group of four friends celebrating two birthdays chose this restaurant even after reading the some of the reviews. None of us had every been here and we wanted to try something new. We are so glad we ate here. Everything was awesome. From the delicious food, to the service, to the decor. We ordered several appetizers to share and they did not disappoint. We had the Grilled Calamari Salad, Falafel, Hummus, the Aubergine Chef Special, the Shepherd Salad and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was also great. We were served hot bread with a garlic spread soon after we arrived, and we devoured that. The server was also very prompt and helpful with any of our questions. She overheard us talking about the birthdays, and at the end of the meal brought out a tiramisu for each birthday girl with a candle. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. The restaurant itself is very comfortable, cozy and casual. I would highly recommend coming here and have already told several friends. If you do go, be sure to order the Aubergine Chef Special. I will definitely be back.

A nice, quieter restaurant in the heart of Main Street Newmarket. I appreciated the attention that was given to my mother who deals with many food allergies, and the accommodations made for her to ensure she got a good meal without sacrificing the integrity of a dish. Live music on Saturday was nice and not overpowering! Good craft beer list too. The food was obviously made fresh and was of good quality. I found the value for money on portions was very hit and miss throughout the menu, with some menu items for the same prices filling the plate, whereas some were more minimalistic-with no way to know until the food comes to the table. Overall a great place worth trying if you're into fresh Mediterranean food!

We organized a company lunch with the wonderful Eddy here and it was such a delight! The food was incredible, the restaurant was beautiful and very welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about working with Aubergine for a small event such as ours. We were able to organize our entire group and they were able to accommodate all of our requests and needs which turned into a fantastic lunch. Such a wonderful local business/restaurant that really was a special treat for us to enjoy!

Great Relaxing Atmosphere. Staff is great, and was very helpful recognizing I needed help with my stroller. Excellent Customer Service and Food is tasty as well. Price is reasonable. Awesome Live Singing on Saturday Night younger male singer tonight, and he was really good. Will visit again!
