Auberge sur Mer

Owner is pretty nice but the wifi couldn't reach our room. The room was clean and well decorated. There was a mini-fridge but no AC, though it's usually pretty chilly around that part of town. Bathroom was also nice to use. Big shower. Nice toilet. Shampoo and soap provided. (They smelled nice too :) ) Towels included. No cooking in the room but there is a restaurant right out the door, across the parking lot.

Even though the place was clean and it was well located, it seemed extremely innadequate that there is no system of check out whatsoever. We were supposed to have our room until 11am, which would normally mean we would be able to enjoy our morning in the village as long as we check out at 11. We went to eat at their restaurant around 9 for an hour and our room was already getting cleaned with our remainings thrown. We never said we left nor did we give our key back but we were told they assume people leave when they don't see them come back (probably because we took a room for only a night). At that moment it was not even 10am. We never even had to pass by the desk to give our key we gave it to the cleaning lady. Makes you wonder if we could've left with the key and use it when the next person takes the room.

Restaurant menu would make you think it's upscale dining, but in reality it's mediocre at best. Buns were prepackaged in plastic! Food was bland and tasted like it was mostly frozen then warmed up, or certainly not fresh. Service wasn't great. Wine and beer were good, and the views are nice. Overall though, not worth the cost.

Don't eat here. Over cooked vegetables. Fish that probably was microwaved. House wine that tasted old. Flies. We skipped dessert and bought a snack at a store.

If you got no other choice or you got to wait for a garage to open the next day it's a ok place to stay the night . Diner seemed to be formal and very elderly not that sitting in a room filled with nana's is delightful it just that their conversations take so long you may need to reheat your plate. Polite service parking is a trip on its own ,WiFi available
