Attica Pines Campground

Spent our first year here. Enjoyed our time and made lots of friends. Staying for another year coming up and look forward to it. I enjoy it being seasonal only. Like a neighborhood away from home.

We’ve camped for 2 years seasonally & looking forward to our 3rd year! We’ve not only made amazing friends, but more like a camping family!

The staff is rude, no matter how nice you are back, to the point that it seems intentional, and almost a company policy. The owners, especially M**y, are too often very unwilling to work out anything that might cause them to have to go out of their way. I put a camper there for my parents. When my Mom and Dad were too old and couldn't come anymore, I wanted to either sell it in place because it was hooked up well, or get it out of there. The owners weren't interested in helping me do either. I explained that it would cost triple to get it out of there during non business hours and that it would be a huge advantage if I could access it during any time between 8 AM and 4 PM in a 3 week timeframe and have it out. I don't have a fifth wheel to move it. I paid to have it put there. They decided that I could not access it to sell, and the only time that we're going to allow me to access it, is when I already had a prior family commitment in Ohio, that we had planned for months, and could not remove myself from. Then, before that date, they moved it on their own with no call to me. Nothing was set up for moving inside because it never was intended that my parents not return this year. And it still was in their lot with no access for me. The owners/management have all kinds of excuses and I'm sure they'll put some out here for this. Bottom line is it's a horror show. No bathrooms or showers for multiple years. Green pond as a highlight. Gestapo like control over every aspect of your camping experience. My suggestion would be to never even pull in the driveway. It's like having your camper, and camping, in camper jail.

The owners here are Extremely racist! If you are not white DO NOT CAMP HERE!!!!!!!! Also no matter how much evidence you have and show against seasonal campers if you are not one you will be kicked out even if you have done nothing wrong. Owners like to get in your face and when you get back in theirs they call the police and play victim. Even the cop told me he is sick of them calling and they are ridiculous. BEWARE DO NOT CAMP HERE!!!

Love this campground. We have been coming here for years. Finally decided to be seasonal this year. We love that the owners as well as other campers enforce the rules. They are rules to keep everyone safe especially the kids. This is the only campground I feel safe letting my kids run/bike around and don’t have to worry about them. I definitely like how quick they kick people out who refuse to follow rules. Anyone leaving bad reviews just ask them what rules they broke. Great job Attica Pines!!

Great place to camp, seasonal camper for over three years. Management is superior, and extremely helpful. Lots of activities if you want them. Rules & regulations are clearly defined, they are designed so that everyone can have a good time. Camp sites are nice with more than adequate hook ups. The camp sites are not sterile, you really have the out door feeling of being up north.

We were VERY worried about camping here with the negative reviews but we took the chance and we are so glad we did. I truly believe the ones making the bad reviews are the ones that broke rules. They are very strict with speeding but it’s only to keep EVERYONE safe! We just spent 4 days here and we loved every minute of it! All staff including owners were great. The seasonal residents were amazing. The camp sites were large and very well maintained. They even allow dogs in the water where people can fish. The beach and slide were fun! Normally my boys want to sit on their phones and not explore but here they rode their bikes and explored. We absolutely loved it and will be back!

We have been coming here for 8 years. The owners are very nice and approachable. It is a small family campground and this is the first campground we go to at the beginning of summer. They are strict on rules yet the rules are nothing that someone should not know when camping - I would say they are just enforced especially the speed limits and being courteous to other campers. We always look forward to coming to Attica and our children have a wonderful time here.

Before arriving, I read other reviews and was a little worried about what to expect....the sites are pretty tight and very close together. However, our site was very shady with a nice little path to the lake. Would have been nice to swim right there, but supposed to only swim at designated beach area--even tho there are no signs stating such. Lots of rules and they don't accept credit/debit cards. And you have to buy their firewood. Aside from the severe storm that knocked out the power/water, it was a nice quiet stay!

We had a very nice shaded spot 59. It was a tight fit trying to get our 30 ft trailer in there but we somehow managed. We enjoyed our stay. Free wifi. The bike/walk paths were great. I just wish they had an enforced quiet time. The people across from us had a bass speaker going all day long that was loud and at times they cranked it up louder when I guess their jam came on and was going til prob 2am-- that was the only disappointment. All the reviews on management, why didn't they do something? I would rather have heard the frogs and crickets. I enjoy music but my own, I don't want to listen to others--as it should be only heard from within your own site. Just courteous to others. Know what I mean? Other than that it's a nice campground, good rates. I'd happily return but hopefully with quieter neighbors--
